In my pct class there are four mexicans and last night we were all huddled together talking about El Chapo getting captured, about what was going to happen, about who was probably going to takeover, and placing bets on how long it was going to take him to escape prison.
The rest of the students were just staring at us in horror because we knew so much. Knowing about the drug culture in Mexico is part of our culture.
I saw La Santa Cecilia today in the hp fair! It was great. It was nice going to the fair I've always attended growing up. It was even better because I got to see one of my favorite bands and I got to share it with my partner. <3 I love his silly face on the last picture!

From an old slang book I have that was written by Librado Keno Vasquez. He used to be a professor at Colegio Jacinto Treviño, a Chicano college that had classes in Mercedes and San Juan. This college was around from the early-to-mid 1970's. My dad, my mom and an uncle attended it briefly.
I wonder if deep inside he gets angry too. Like the shit I rant about is real to him as it is to me. I wonder if his pride keeps him quiet, because he's always taken what he was given and asks for nothing more.
But I know this shit must be eating him alive too.
