So we went to Wagamama’s couple weeks ago which is a bit expensive for our liking but it was my birthday!!!! Food wasn’t that great as it looked which was disappointing 😒
However, the bao buns (steamed buns) were great but then we fucking love them in any shape or form you can’t really go wrong unless the meat is raw…
Also, the fresh juice that Vee ordered was delicious but fuck me, I thought it was expensive for little glass (regular) for £3.50.
Vee got the grilled duck donburi for £13.95, it was the second the most expensive dish on the menu. We expected it to be grilled but it came out as kinda mashy, I liked the spicy sauce that was smothered on top.
I originally ordered Udon Noodles with chicken and prawns for £8.95 which tasted really bland, as if the noodles got dipped in hot water and just slapped on the plate with very few chicken and prawns!!! Only good thing was it looked great, the presentation of their dishes look very very good almost like the decoration of their restaurants. So me being a snobby bitch, I added chilli oil and reduced salt soya sauce and chilli flakes that was on the table, hoping it would add some flavour but it didn’t work 😭 so I spoke to the manager who offered me a replacement dish, chicken teriyaki donburi, oh ma dayz it was dry as fuck and I only had 6 little pieces of chicken on a bed of 10 times the rice so not sure how that works but nah it was not cool nor was it worth the money.
That’s it Wagamama, we swore down we’re never going back there for food again buttt the manager lady was really nice and apologetic and wiped our bill 😱😱😱 even after I said I’m more than happy to pay for what we eaten which was half of Vee’s duck dish well the spicy rice and the steamed buns… but she insisted, as it was my birthday! LOVED THE FREE GREEN TEA!
Overall, wagamama we would not be coming for food but be cool to hangout with your staff over your free green tea! ✌️
