These Vegan & GF Chickpea Croutons are a crunchy, flavorful alternative to traditional croutons. Perfect for topping salads, soups, or enjoying as a snack!
Ingredients: 1 can 15 oz chickpeas, drained and rinsed. 1 tablespoon olive oil. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. 1 teaspoon onion powder. 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika. Salt to taste. Optional: nutritional yeast for added flavor.
Instructions: Preheat oven to 400F 200C. Pat dry the chickpeas using a paper towel to remove excess moisture. In a bowl, toss chickpeas with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and salt until evenly coated. Spread chickpeas in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, shaking the pan halfway through, until chickpeas are crispy and golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving. Optional: sprinkle with nutritional yeast for added flavor.
