Zoe is really going to throw away a friendship over a guy she never dated? I understand Zoe had feelings for Aaron at one point but she picked Luka over Aaron. I would understand a bit if Zoe had feelings for Aaron and Aaron decided not to pursue the relationship but she made the decision to not be with Aaron and shouldn’t have a claim on him.

Ana deserves a better friend anyways.

Like A Girl

Don’t you love that misogynistic comment most people make out of habit in an effort to tease or jest?

That comment that, for some reason, has been normalized– that comment which is used to insinuate that the activity you are partaking in is being performed weakly or without heart or conviction?

“You’re doing it like a girl”.

What’s weak about ‘girls’? Do girls, ladies, lasses, women not put as much effort into their work? Do women not fight on the front lines like rabid she-wolves thirsting for peace in the form of sheer brutality? Do women not thrive and live and breathe day to day? Do they not feel passion for their work, do they not love so hard that they’d put their lives on the line for friends, family, children?

There has been a serious flex of 'male superiority’ throughout the years in day to day life that prevents ladies from coming into themselves and shining brightly, there is doubt in males that leads them not to trust women with certain activities that do not include housework. Men tend to see women as vulnerable, dainty creatures that are prone to failure when practicing in scenarios that do not include aspects similar to their regular daily habits– Cooking, cleaning, caring for babes and tending to their lands is, supposedly, the only job women are most capable of doing without a chance of messing up. 

Today is the day we remind ourselves and those around us that, ’No motherfucker, we are more than that!’.

Today marks the day of female independence. Today is a day of which we celebrate womanhood and all the accomplishments women have done throughout the year in the effort to better the future for not only our fellow women, but the men as well. Today is a day to celebrate femininity.

The female population of Azeroth has bolstered with the revolution of womankind coming into the workforce, taking control and treading upon what man once considered a gentleman-only activities, and female kind has fucking rocked it. Proving that female kind is capable to be beyond housewives or trophy wives, that we are not useless!

Keep in mind, we may celebrate today. But there is still more to do, ladies. There is still this built-in questioning about women’s executive ability, and it usually is women doubting themselves based off their exposure to nothing but negativity that they will fail.

We, as women kind, must take today and, frankly, everyday to remind ourselves and each other that we are more than what society thinks we should be. We are much more than a mold of a 'model wife’, we are role models of a better tomorrow.

Here are some steps to make this year your own, to break away from the confinements of what is expected of you and rise above those expectations:

Be no one but yourself. Do not mislead those around you that you are anything but yourself. It’s a mask that cracks under pressure, and can lead to disappointment and mistrust. The only way you will succeed is to be yourself. To be comfortable. If that means you must compromise and let go of some friendships with folk who don’t like you as yourself, then clip away that dead weight and power on, girlfriend!

Give in to your wants. We, as not only women but beings, have had the idea been hammered into our brains that sexuality is something to be ashamed of. This isn’t the case. Being sexual is natural. To feel a need so strong, to feel a desire to be with another person that leads you to have sex or masturbate is natural. Embrace it. Do not let anyone try to tell you differently.

Follow your gut. Keep your common sense intact, ladies. If something doesn’t feel right, do not follow through with it. You are in control of your future, you make the decisions for yourself and no one else can take that from you.

Accept what it is, and prevent it from your future. There is no sense in being held up by your past. What ever is holding you back is in the past. No matter what you do it will still be there, it will still be what has molded and shaped you into the woman you are today. Embrace it. Accept your mistakes and learn from them. Learn the signs, that way it never happens to youre future.

Wise up. Accept aid where it is offered. From man or woman, young or old. People learn life lessons at their own paces, and if they are willing to provide you with a speckle of advice it is your duty as the learner to absorb their offerings and apply it to your life.

Treat yourself right. Learn to love yourself, as a woman. You are a powerful, amazing human being. You are a woman. Strong, independent and not in need of validation from any outside force. You make yourself happy.

Today is International Woman’s Day. Be proud, fellow vaginas, and lets make this year one to remember. Let’s turn the phrase “You’re doing it like a girl” into a praise rather than an insult.
