The Fade Heard from Across the World
So, I tried to come to Jack to tell him to give back Piggy’s glasses and that we need to work on getting off this damn island. I had my whole speech planned out and everything, but then, Jack had to screw that all up. He kept arguing with me and being a stubborn prick. He is so yeah, I called him a thief, but that was only because he kept ticking me off. His head was just filled with violence and brutality, but I just want us all to get off this island safe, keeping as much of our sanity as possible. I should’ve known he’d turn out like this, to be fair. Well, he’s always had a tyrannical glaze about him ever since we met the choir. All he wants is to lead, but then he leads everyone to their demise just because he wants everything his way and nothing else. At this age, one wouldn’t expect a preteen to become as ruthless as a dictator, but Jack defied such odds. This also made me wonder why he’s so violent. I mean, how is a young boy so devious and murderous? It doesn’t compute me, honestly. Usually, one would see this kind of behavior from a sociopath, but not a kid. Is that normal? Are we supposed to act like that under these circumstances?
