I created a collection for LA Fashion Week that was held at Ace Gallery in 2011. All the models cried beautiful tears for me. The tears I could not cry for myself during the year my father abducted my brother and I. The collection was called From Water To Ice by Anh Volcek. Since then, I have taken my grandmother’s name Vu. I feel her watching over me and watching me grow into being human again.

It’s the end of 2016 and a moment of reflection calls for looking back at this memory. It is about one of my design collections based on the story of my life of being born at sea. Thank you to Scott Jordan Held for capturing me in this video created in 2011.
