Fic talk

I really enjoy the whole concept of OTP or series weeks filled with challenges. The first one I participated in was for Chihayafuru last week and I am still enjoying Silverweek (Prince of Tennis) this week.

Inspired by this, I am also working on a little Chihayafuru/Silver Pair crossover, which I will probably post next week. It's a weird, but fun combination, which I would never have thought of if not for those wonderful people who organized those week challenges.

Other things I will do soon:

Another AoKuro short story: Kagami is frantic when he hears Kuroko is kidnapped, but the question is: does Kuroko mind?

A new pairing will get 'screentime' soon in my Prince of Tennis multi-pairings fic. One of them loves cake...

I will continue my SouMako story and finally give Sousuke what he longs for.

The last card has been captured, the players have taken a bow. The game is over, and so is our event. This week has been a truly incredible one and it's all because of you guys, the fandom! 

We have seen such a great outpouring of creativity in the past week that we're a little breathless. We've had such a fun time and we hope that everyone has too. Thank you so much for all your contributions, thank you so much for investing your time and effort into this event. We're all really grateful and really inspired by your work, positivity and enthusiasm!

Thank you everyone! We'll see you again eventually one of these days can we fast forward to that part already.

Chihayafuru Week! Day 6: Girl Power/Chihayafuru Ladies! I chose my favorite two chihayafuru gals, Chihaya and of course Kana! The support and enthusiasm they bring to the club is just incredible. I hope we'll see them again having fun and smiling! (*nervous laughter* I've been working on this picture for a while now and everytime I try to work on it, I get interrupted. OTL if you see mistakes I apologize for my craftsmanship)

Day 7 - If only our world could be always as it is

Relay

The relay race had been a great success for their team spirit, even though it had not brought them extra members for their club.

A relay for swimmers had been a logical next step, at least for Chihaya and Taichi.

Tsutomu studied breast stroke by spending as much time reading about it as actually swimming practice.

Chihaya found butterfly most exciting, while Taichi went for crawl.

Nishida’s backstroke was perfect.

For Kanade, swimming was not a thing she was eager to try. She yelled louder in encouragement than she ever had before.

They did not win.

But it brought them closer yet and worked wonders on their stamina.

To make Kanade feel more included during their celebrations at the sushi bar, Chihaya suggested having a Kamakura themed relay next. Kanade had no idea what that would entail, but her smile grew bigger as she poured tea for them all.

Chihayafuru Week ✧ Day 7 / Bonus: Favorite Scene + Red

Chihaya sees Oumi Jingu for the first time. [Ch. 20]

When I started reading the manga around 2 years ago, this was the first scene that really moved me. I loved how the color of the shrine connects to her card as well as standing in front of the place meant that Chihaya's slowly getting closer to her dream. IT'S. JUST. SO. BEAUTIFUL.

Although I do think that the anime did a great job in presenting this scene, I still choose the manga over it due to a very minor detail. ;)
