I’m thinking about Kevin and the way he interacts with Gwen post transformation. He’s always been very proud of his looks and his car but not much else about himself. His other good qualities are invisible to him. Gwen points out his other virtues TO him but it’s almost in one ear and out the other.

 And even though he’s been head over heels for Gwen since the very beginning, once he transforms into something he perceives as ugly, he gives her a locket with a picture of him before he transformed as “something to remember him by” as if he can’t possibly fathom her wanting to be with him this way. As if he almost viewed his looks as his one redeeming quality. But Gwen looks at him and sees all the stuff that he can’t.

if you commission an artist right now, you will likely be expected to pay upfront and the commission may take a little while longer. this isn't because you're being scammed, but because the artist has taken a bulk of commissions to try and secure their livelihood until they can figure out another payment processor or revenue stream that foreign clients can use

in short, absolutely commission indonesian artists right now, but please be patient with them

absolutely adore when people call jess selfish and horrible when he was literally just a kid. he was a child who went his whole life without any financial stability and as a result became a workaholic so that he knew he always had a monetary safety net. he was a child who was abandoned by his father and neglected by his mother, and who was clearly abused in several ways (by liz, by her boyfriends, by his stepfathers). he was a child who was never taught to communicate his feelings. he was a child who was told by his mother and by other authority figures that he was worthless, that he would never amount to anything, that he shouldn’t even try because he’d just end up failing. and despite all of that he tried anyway—for rory, because he loved her. and eventually for himself, because he realized he had worth.
