Character study of Kadi aufLiam, child of beast. The hybrid fae.
—
I’m sorry if her title seems a bit edgy, but in the story that’s basically what she is. Her father is of the fae and something commonly known as beastkin. So, as she’s with mixed blood she’d be called something akin to ‘child of beast’ rather than bastard or halfblood(both equally insulting to her and her kin). The title means the father/mother never disowned or abandoned the child, even with it’s impure blood.
Though she and Liam had a rough start in their relationship; him not realizing he had a kid until she already was four or five years old, he took the responsibility once he did without question. After the initial shock of meeting one another they slowly realized she had inherited most traits from her father, both physically and mentally. Good and bad…
Kadi is, with lack of a better word, a wild card. Young, confident and an insufferable flirt, pretty much like her dad. Though, where he has had a lifetime of calming down and settle into his place in the world, Kadi is still trying to find hers.
When not traveling with her father, Kadi spends most of her days as a tracker/hunter near the stretch of mountains splitting Fendell, the ruthless continent neighboring Dalin and Amastus. It’s a beautiful, but rough landscape littered with plains and thick forests. The main city, Hollowstone, sticks out from one of the mountains, creating a fortress-like stone structure. People of all races intermingle there in a chaotic mess of politics and culture, creating perhaps one of the most diverse cities in comparison to the other two continents.
Kadi prefers the smaller villages and towns, but occasionally ventures into the bigger city in search of better jobs. Most of the mercenary guilds set base only in large cities and her skills can in many cases be found useful when a tracker is needed. That, and there’s brothels there for cold or lonely nights.
She’s also the designated tracker Than makes contact with for a particularly tricky contract.
