Little Superstar Steals the Show

Many girls take a tap or ballet class when they’re young.  Their year of dance classes is usually culminated by an annual recital.  Recital day is always one of the most exciting in a kid’s life.  She gets to wear pretty costumes, make-up and perform on stage in front of an audience.  A recital wouldn’t be a recital without parents recording their child’s shining moment in the spotlight.  A recital also wouldn’t be a recital if a young child didn’t run off the stage crying, sit down during the middle of the routine, lose a shoe mid step-ball-change or make up their own choreography.

  This hilarious video has all the recital requirements.  Pretty costumes, check.  Make-up, check.  Lone girl stealing the spotlight, check.  In this video, a little girl decides to tweak the choreography and steal the show.  She begins her “Broadway Baby” routine mostly in sync with the rest of her classmates, with the exception of the occasional exaggerated facial expression and arm gestures.  And the fact that she looks like she’s ham-boning like she grew up in a small backwoods shack when the video opens.

  As the three-minute routine continues, the preschooler provides the audience with way more entertainment than I’m sure they bargained for from a kid’s dance recital, as evident by the riotous laughter coming from the audience.  This little girl sings to the girl next to her before skating around in her tap shoes and finishing her routine with a grand finale of blowing a kiss and krumping like she was inspired by the hip-hop greats themselves.  The kids next to this little stand-out handle themselves like pros, never missing a beat in their routine, which makes this little girl all the more amusing.

  This video is guaranteed to have you laughing out loud and wishing your kid’s recital was this entertaining.
