Yeah I dont think they thought this through. But just like Xbox did with their console. SquareEnix will pretend like it was all a misunterstanding and say that they will publish it elsewhere. The shitstorm that is coming for them will force their hands. A reboot is tricky enough (dmc) and having a follow up of a game that you just established is pretty tough on its own. Pissing of gamers this way would be too much of a loss for them

Exactly. And I also wonder why would they even make a remaster of Tomb Raider for ps4 if they didn't want to continue on publishing it on the said console. For me it's weird that SquareEnix just said yeah lets make it XBox one exclusive. I always thought they are 'besties' with Sony.

On the other hand as far as you ask me, there wouldn't be so much of a shitstorm if SE made it PS4 exclusive but still.. i hate all this exclusive shit. It's so unfair to make me, as owner of ps4 feel better/worse just because i own that console. No wonders there are console wars.

They released a statement saying it will be exclusive for Xbox One only during the holidays. A later publishing date for the Playstation and PC are still to be released. As far as I know Microsoft paid a lot of publishers to make their games Xbox exclusive for a while to boost the popularity of their shitty spyware that they call "console"

yeah i read these rumors (idk how to call it) as well idk what they want to achieve but instead of consumers wo will buy their shitty xbox one they just got pissed army of players

You know between us...I think the character death warning people demand is fucking BULLSHIT. No writer would just announce the death of a character before a chapter (imagine the list before George RR Martins shit). Because the shock and surprise of the event and it hitting the reader like a fist in the face is SOMETHING THAT MAKES A STORY GOOD. A story that doesnt evoke emotion is not worth writing. So do not feel guilty about not announcing a character death. You were just being an author

That's what I originally thought too....I mean...I think that the deaths you don't see coming are the best ones. The ones that hit you hard and leave you breathless and wrecked emotionally are my favorites. I don't think there is any point to writing unless you can evoke an emotional reaction. That's why I write. To touch the hearts of my readers in any way I can.

But I didn't mean to make anyone really upset over it....I was just trying to make a good story....Thank you for your support!^^

I mean I'd be lying if I said that I'm not fed up with this for completely selfish reasons right at this instant, like I can't use twitter like I want to because my TL is all fucking football, and this is why I made this particular text post, but the fact that everyone seems to have completely forgotten the terrible circumstances under which this event is taking place is making me rather uncomfortable tbh.
