"- Is that your dog? She' s so huge...
- Lilith is the best in the world!
- Doesn't she bite?
- She only eats our enemies.
- Cool."
At one point, @norusaki and I thought, what if Solome and Henrietta were children and… I decided to act it out
/And I also want to explain one interesting thing about Henrietta's clothes:
The fact is that she is actually of mixed descent. She is not pure British. Her father is gypsy and her mother is British. And because she was brought up by her grandmother, and her grandmother was on her father's side, accordingly, she was also Roma, and in spite of her accepted Catholic faith, she told Henrietta a lot about the Roma and how big her kin was, Henrietta was very inspired by this, and in principle she was very fond of her belonging.
So she preferred to wear Gypsy clothes instead of English ones, because they were more comfortable and free.
(True, later, she had to wear English so as not to be a black sheep among the other children in her school, and basically to hide her origins in every way possible, because at that time Gypsies were treated rather badly)
So with everything going on with Reflekdoll and Desperada, I decided to calm myself by reading one of my favourite AUs, Childhood Soulmates by @gale-of-the-nomads
I love that Adrienette had that little wedding type thing when they were kids and my Headcanon is that at some point, Adrien wanted to be the bride/Marinette wanted to be the groom so they switched clothes and STILL looked absolutely adorable in the outfits. I couldn't get the idea outta my head so drew it up in Chibi versions cos I can't draw children to save my life
(And I'm not familiar with many western wedding outfit designs so please excuse the crappy outfits)
Children AU! Jin Guangshan flirts with everyone which leads Jiang Fengmian to believe he's just being friendly. Meanwhile Wen Ruohan and Yu Ziyuan are raging in the background because Jin Guangshan is saying innuendos and almost hangs off of Jiang Fengmian.
maybe a tiny bit of reason WWX was dense af is bc he got some of it from JFM hahahahaah bc ngl JFM looks like that person who’d offer you some clothes when you stand naked in front of him bc he’s scared “you’ll catch a cold”
Author’s Note: Children AU. Dedicated to Princehansofthecutieisles80. You deserve all of the recognition for just being a great person to talk to. I hope this fanfic does it justice. ♡
Anna attends Arandelle Elementary as an innocent little 3rd grader. In the middle of the school year, a new student enrolls in her class. As everyone ignores him and quickly becomes an outcast, Anna decides to be different, as always. ♡
It is a sunny day at Arandelle Elementary and Anna, along with the rest of her classmates, is scattered around the room completing their individual activities. Anna and her circle time buddy, Kristoff, share a desk together as they work on a coloring worksheet.
"Do you have pink?" Anna asks, looking over at his drawing. Kristoff reaches for his cup filled with colored pencils and accidentally knocks them over. Anna giggles as Kristoff furiously finds the bright red piece of wood and hands it over for her to take.
"Here!" Kristoff pouts as a deep blush creeps on his chubby face.
"Thank you," Anna smiles and continues with her coloring worksheet.
"Do you remember what red and blue makes?" The two students sit and contemplate for a moment, perhaps a little too hard with extra and unnecessary effort.
"Over there!" Anna exclaims, pointing across the room. Kristoff turns his head and sees her acknowledging the color wheel displayed on the other side of the room. "Come on," she pushes her chair away from the desk and stands, holding out her hand. "Let's go check together!"
Kristoff blushes at her initiative behavior but pouts instead, masking his secret crush for Anna. "Fine, but I won't hold hands!" Anna just giggles and walks with him across the room.
"Excuse me, class," all the third graders turn their attention to the front door of the classroom and see the principal peak in.
"Hello, Ms. Johnson!" the classroom's teacher greets from her desk. "Is he here already? I was expecting him to arrive a little before lunch time,"
"No, he has arrived a little early than expected. But that's perfectly alright," all the children look at each other in curiosity by what the adults are talking about. "Come, say hello to your new classmates," the principal gestures from outside the entrance and in comes into view a new addition to the class. "Everyone, please welcome your new classmate Hans. He transferred from The Southern Isles Elementary uptown and will now be joining us from now on,"
"Welcome Hans," the teacher walks up to the new student and greets him with a happy smile. "We're so happy to have a new student join us!" Hans stays silent and looks down at his feet, unable to speak. "Don't worry, we'll be sure everyone makes you feel at home," and with that, Principal Johnson dismisses herself.
"He looks so serious," Kristoff mumbles to Anna as they observe his inclusive behavior. "Something must be wrong with him," he shrugs it off and continues across the room to view the color wheel. But Kristoff stops when he feels a lost presence of his circle buddy. "Anna?" Alas, it is already too late as Anna approaches her teacher and new classmate. Where is she going? Kristoff's cheeks burn with anger as he tries to hold back his tears.
"Oh Anna!" the teacher exclaims. "Anything wrong, sweetheart?"
"Hello I'm Anna," she greets, ignoring her teacher. "Would you like to have a circle buddy?" The new student stares at his new classmate in confusion.
"Right now we're having circle time and everyone has a circle buddy! This is perfect, why won't you two be paired up this week with each other?" Unknown to them, Anna's excitement overshines Kristoff's disapproval. Hans, however, stands amongst them with a straight face; masking any emotions for them to witness.
"Okay," Hans nods, only complying with his teacher's orders. He is taken off guard by Anna taking his hand in her’s and guiding him to her desk.
"This is going to be so fun!" Anna cheers. "You can sit here, I'll go get a new worksheet for you," Hans observes his classmate skipping to the teacher's desk. But her happy walk is interrupted when she nonchalantly knocks down another kid's tower of building blocks. The said student throws a fit and Anna hyperventilates with apologies. Hans furrows his eyebrows when he sees her immediately build another tower, only this time more grand and colorful.
What's wrong with that girl?
The entire day, Anna welcomes Hans to the entire class during free time and recess. As they play on the playground structure, Hans stays silent as the other students try to get to know him. This causes poor Anna confused by him not accepting their kindness.
"He's really quite,"
"He's just shy though. I'm sure of it,"
"But he doesn't even talk at all. Does he even know how to?"
Hans hears the usual teasing and easily ignores it. But Anna, on the other hand, does not like it one bit.
"Hey!" Everyone turns towards her by her sudden outburst. "That's not nice!"
"Oh yeah?" A student with a bigger built steps forward and tries to intimidate the young school girl. "What are you going to do about it? You older sister isn't here to protect you because she's out on a field trip," he smirks.
"You need to apologize right now," Anna steps forward with her hands on her hips. She glances over at the victim of the situation and still sees him unphased.
"He doesn't seem to care about it. Why do you?"
"Because he's my friend!" Anna proudly claims. Hans' head snaps at attention and stares; no words exchanged, no emotions shown, he just stares and thinks to himself.
"No one's your friend Anna," the bully laughs. "You're getting on my nerves," he takes another step forward and forcefully shoves her to the concrete. Anna shrieks as her fragile body scraps across the pavement, her elbow bleeding with a painful, but not too serious, wound. Hans grits his teeth and is about to step forward but one of his classmates beats him to it.
"Anna!" Kristoff cries out, rushing to her side. Hans observes from the side Kristoff rough housing with the bully, punching and shouting for him to apologize. It doesn't take too long for a supervisor to come running in and breaking them up. The entire playground has their attention as the boys are escorted to the principal's office and Anna being attended to by another supervisor. Hans takes a deep breath and walks towards her.
"Oh hey Hans," Anna smiles as she sniffs away her tears.
Why is she smiling? Did she not just get hurt?
"Are you alright?"
ME!? This girl...
"Don't worry, she should be fine by lunch time," the supervisor assures him. "Come on Anna, let's get you to the nurse's office," he watches Anna walk away, leaving the lone student to himself. With the last few minutes of recess, Hans walks the courtyard by himself.
Whatever, I don't need her babysitting me. Hans kicks on some rocks as he walks around with his hands in his pockets. But as he spends his time alone for the first time since he arrived at the school, he suddenly feels lonely.
Towards the middle of the day, Hans is found working on a math worksheet with ease. He gets through almost all of his packets within the hour instead of it meant to be spread out throughout the week. But his attention is caught off short when he sees Anna come back from the nurse. A subtle pain in his stomach catches him off guard when he sees her elbow wrapped in bandages. But that pain immediately subsides when Anna's face brightens up when she sees him. She runs over to their shared desk and takes a seat. While Anna babbles on about her adventure the nurse's office, third grader Hans subtly smiles to himself, enjoying listening to her talk.
When lunch time rolls around, the both of them take a seat at a table before most of their classmates because they have packed lunches.
"What did you pack for lunch?" Anna smiles, unzipping her lunch pail.
Hans, unknowing himself, opens his food for the first time that day. But he slumps in his seat with disappointment when his mother packed him leftovers from last night. A mixture of cold pizza, potato chips, carrots, and hummus is what he has to deal with today.
"Wow, look at all the food!" Anna gasps in amazement. "Pizza? That looks so yummy," Hans sighs to himself and disappointingly unwraps the food from the plastic wrap. Not too focused on the task, he looks over to his classmate and freezes his movements in time. Is that...
"Sandwiches!" Anna cheers, holding up the medium sized BLT in her hands. Hans' eyes dilate in admiration as he notices all the bacon, lettuce, and tomato between two soft buns of wheat bread. Anna notices Hans' stare and smiles up at him in confusion. Hans snaps out of his dreaming state and turns back to his boring cold pizza.
The entire week goes by this routine. Anna greets Hans every morning as they line up to go to class. Hans sometimes waves or even smiles a greeting. But most days, he just nods his head with his hands snuggled up in his pockets. Throughout circle time, Anna and Hans are assigned as partners. Anna watches in amazement how fast and swiftly Hans finishes his work so diligently. So, with the remaining time, Hans offers her some help. He stays patient with her and, unknowingly to himself, doesn't have a problem with it.
Recess and free time come around and no one wants to play with them. Anna is even surprised when her friend Kristoff distances himself. All week he has a bandage over his nose to cover up his scar from earlier that week. But nonetheless, Anna enjoys Hans' company. They play on the swings, play catch, and walk around the field talking about their day.
Lunch is a normal routine as Hans always sees Anna packed with a different kind of sandwich every day. He is amazed at how many her mom is able to make from BLTs, hoagies, Philly cheese steaks, and more! Reluctant to be too forward with her, Hans fights the urge to ask her for a bite every time.
On Friday, the last day of the week until everyone enjoys their weekend, Hans notices Anna is more excited than usual. He decides to not ask her about it, knowing that this is her normal behavior by now. He knows this considering he's been by her side the entire week. And quite frankly, Hans doesn't want it to change.
"Hans, hurry up!" Anna shouts from across the courtyard. Everyone is on their way to the lunch court as Hans unenthusiastically takes his lunchbox out of his backpack, already feeling the disappointment of last night leftovers of chicken and rice. Hans catches up with Anna and sees her skipping ahead of him in excitement.
As the two students sit down at their regular table, Hans unexpectedly speaks up out of nowhere.
"Why are you so excited today?" Hans asks. This causes Anna to grow even happier, knowing that her friend is now talking to her casually.
"Because I have a surprise for you!" Anna claps. Surprise? For me? He masks his excitement by raising his eyebrow questionably at her.
"Okay..."
"Ta-da!" Hans' eyes grow ten times in size when Anna pulls out the biggest and freshest sandwich he has ever seen. It is a honey ham and cheese sandwich with lettuce and tomato between two crisp white pieces of bread. His eyes start to sparkle in wonder at the beautiful creation.
"S-Sandwich?" Hans whispers shyly. "For me?"
"Of course," With ease, Anna tears the meal in half as her mother already precut the sandwich the morning of. "I could tell that you weren't happy with the lunches you have every day. So I asked my mama to prepare a bigger sandwich for me and my friend at school!"
"Friend?" Hans blushes as Anna hands him her other half. Anna giggles and nods. "Thank you," he timidly takes a bite of the creation and sighs in happiness at the delicious taste. Together, they share that honey ham and cheese sandwich at lunch time. As well as each other's company for the rest of the school year.

AU where all the sect leaders are children and everyone loves Jiang Fengmian and it's a competition for his attention. Yu Ziyuan is his childhood friend who "protects" (re: keeps him away) from the others. Cangse Sanren is someone who Jiang Fengmian gets a small crush on, which makes everyone jealous.
it’s really interesting to me that everyone assumes that JFM has a crush/loved CSSR even in aus hahahahaha BUT OK IF WE’RE TALKING ABOUT ALL SECT LEADERS - how will Madam Yu keep WRH away hahahaha
So, I think I have compiled all the imagines of the ndrv3 cast’s kids I’ve received a little while back. And below the cut is a summary of each of them and my thoughts:
Haru Shirogane (colors: metallic gray silver and navy blue)
Gender: androgynous (AFAB)
Appearance: long wavy black hair tied in a ponytail and fake red eyes (actually brown/gray eyes). Biologically female with a big bust but tries to keep themselves look androgynous looking. They always dress up in neutral clothing.
They’re adopted. They’re very reserved but have a scary side you shouldn’t mess with. They have bad social skills and try to be friends but is shy. They make jewelry, love western cartoons and useless trivia. They are also good at cooking.
In the bad Sleeping beauty au, Haru would have possessed Shuichi’s grey eyes and long lashes, while having Tsumugi’s haircolor. They’re more intelligent and cruel, but also curious and have a small creative side. They’re loyal to their mom but exhibits curiosity. Shiho provides information to the real world. Haru felt a strong kinship to her the moment they’ve met and felt a protective sibling side. Boy the truth will hurt Haru. In the killing game, they’re the first victim.
My thoughts:
“long wavy black hair and fake red eyes” huh? Is this like the new Izuru Kamukura? Like, Izuru Kamukura the Third???
I’m imaging a few scenarios of Haru displaying a distant curiosity of the real world outside of the banished pocket dimension they was born into. They also have curiosity of family structure as they observe Monokuma repeatedly abuse his kids, the monokubs abuse and harass each other (usually Monodam is on the receiving end), how Tsumugi tends to fawn over Haru and look upon them with a focused plan in her eyes, and how Shiho recalls her childhood memories fondly playing with her twin brother and younger sister and longing to return home. These different images of family are all so conflicting to Haru that they can’t help but to hover around Monodam and Shiho and listen intently to everything they have to say about family to try to give them some sense of understand of the true nature of family. Sadly, their perception of family has become warped over the years. They believe that they love their mother Tsumugi and that she loves them just as much or even greater, but they can’t help but notice she puts a lot of emphasis into them developing their magical skills. And if their progress doesn’t meet her demands, they are punished until their performance improves considerably. That taken with Monodam’s lectures of Monokuma’s style of parenting makes Haru very wary of parents, especially fathers. As Haru loves their mother, they do not know their father, and seeing how Monokuma behaves towards his own cubs instills a seed of hatred in their heart towards their own father. And this is what really sets Tsumugi’s “Plan B” into motion—the seed of despair and dissatisfaction within the heart of Haru would motivate them to seek and destroy their father and maybe the other members of the royal family on Tsumugi’s behalf. All their life, Haru was brainwashed to be a weapon against their father and would destroy those that stand in their way, including the stubborn Shiho who refused to give up on searching for a way back into the world she belonged. It was essentially useless as Haru used their great magic to kidnap and keep Shiho inside this pocket dimension for as long as it took until the plan could be set into motion.
Jun Iruma (colors: peridot and silver)
Gender: male
Appearance: He has short messy brown hair with his mom’s ahoges and blue eyes. He’s a tall man.
He’s the Ultimate Gardener. He’s basically the opposite of his mom, he’s shy and anxious, but push his buttons or mess with his friends or younger sister and you better run. He’s surprisingly strong. He has a crush on Hikari, but he accidentally kills her when his was intended for someone else. But his fear of dying overwhelmed his guilt, but he confessed to his crimes. He’s also allergic to peanuts.
My thoughts:
I’m imagining him tending to his garden, smiling happily and humming a little tune to himself as he waters his tulips…until he hears fighting. He turns and sees this jerk-ass boy throwing a punch at his younger sister Chika! So, immediately, with a powerful arm, he swings his water sprinkler around and throws it towards the guy, landing a perfect headshot and damn near knocking the boy into last night. All to protect his sisters.
I imagine that Jun would really frickin’ love that garden on Hope’s Peak Academy’s top floor and would probably spend much of his time there. In some pregame!scenario where all of these kids attend Hope’s Peak as students, Jun would crush mad hard on Hikari whenever she visits the garden to practice her singing. She always liked it up there because the air felt so much cleaner, so as she sung and flaunted the power of her melodious voice, Jun closed his eyes and swayed a little with the music, feeling Hikari’s emotions through her words and maybe even tearing up a little if it was a particularly deep emotional tune. During the killing game, he would deliberately avoid anything containing peanuts in the dining hall but be worried about saying anything because his allergy could be used against him.
As for Hikari’s death, I think it might be fitting because Hikari is thrown over a stone bridge in a garden area and hung with barbed wired jamming and ripping into her throat. Jun may have planted (pun not intended) a trap for someone else and had his sister Chika be an accomplice because they were trying to do this double-murder thing where each one of them kills another student so they can both escape, but Hikari was unsuspecting and went into the garden specifically to look for someone. Let’s say she trips on water that Jun deliberately left on the bridge and triggers the trap—she runs right into a barbed wire loop, slips off the bridge and hangs to death, drowning in her own pool of blood. During the killing game, I would imagine that their memories would be wiped before the game started and slowly fed back to them either as a motive or after the results of the trial to either fuel the murder or create despair. In Jun’s case, his original plan to commit murder along with his sister to save the both of them had failed, and so Jun had confessed, seeing at how it was better this way. Although many of the students felt disgust that he would selfishly kill to save himself and his sister, the Saihara twins could understand his motivations. Still, the twins felt the despair of the trial a little more deeply at seeing this brother and sister duo ripped apart from each other by the paws of Monokuma (and it offers some foreshadowing ;)).
As for Jun’s execution…maybe he could be zombie-plantified like some of those researchers in the Resident Evil 2 remake? It could be a slight nod from Danganronpa to that series, as per Danganronpa fashion. A more obvious design is that he could be slowly digested by either a huge venus flytrap plant or a pitcher plant.
Chika Iruma (formally Ayuma) (colors: bright orange and pink)
Gender: Female
Appearance: She has short blonde hair and brown eyes.
Miu’s second child. A year younger than Jun. She recently came out as transgender but isn’t open. She’s the Ultimate Mathematician. She’s more serious and strict, but also has an OCD complex. She hates being teased. She takes pride in her intelligence and developed a superiority complex after skipping a grade for her intelligence. Not many know that she’s closet trans girl, her family knows and supports her. She’s in the game. She also wears braces.
My thoughts:
Hmmmm, I was imagining that she might be in a personal conflict with Chiemi Oma simply because their personalities clash. That, and the two of them also have superiority complexes and strive to outdo each other. So, I’m clearly imagining a scene in chapter 4 where Chika possesses an item that Chiemi needs to conduct her plan to thwart Monokuma, so Chiemi resorts to blackmailing Chika’s gender identity as a means to force Chika’s hand and get what she wants. Chika can’t risk that—she can’t risk the others knowing the truth about her, especially when her brother Jun is dead and can’t protect her. Chiemi knows this—she’s very keen and observant and figured out the truth behind Chika long ago. And goodness, Chiemi knows just how to dig her heels in and play with Chika’s fear, so Chika begrudgingly hands over the item after Chiemi extends her hand and says so smoothly and sweetly, “Now, be a dear and hand it over.” Chika, with slightly trembling hands, places the object in Chiemi’s hands and struggles not to try to punch her or anything, and Chiemi closes her fist, concealing the item and smiling gratefully.
Later on, it was revealed that this very scene solidified the resolve of the blackened of chapter 4 to commit the murder—Chiemi becomes the victim and is blasted through the chest with a laser beam from a highly advanced weapon, and the Chika, the ultimate mathematician, had designed her trap to be inescapable. She conducted the murder because she wanted to get revenge on Chiemi playing with the class like little toys and wrapping some of her classmates around her dainty fingers. Of course, as intelligent as Chika was, her downfall was one tiny little detail that even she missed, and that detail was implanted by Chiemi herself. In chapter 4, the class discovers that Chiemi’s true talent was the Ultimate Designer and had implemented deliberate flaws in Chika’s plan (after figuring out her plan in the first place) to finish her if she interfered.
Hmm, I don’t know what Chika’s execution would be like. She’s the ultimate mathematician, so maybe her execution can be a pun on crunching numbers like an accountant? Or! It could be a play on the phrase “seven eight nine!” She could literally be eaten by the number seven that takes the form of a monster similar to Hagakure’s proposed execution.
Atsuko Iruma (colors: light brown and pink)
Gender: Female
The youngest child of Miu. She’s basically a mini Miu. She’s eight years old. She’s an energetic little girl who loves wandering around and helping people, but is socially awkward. She has a lot of high self-esteem, except when it comes to making friends because she’s very brash, nosy and a tattletale and she tends to stick to the rules. Her interests and hobbies switch a lot. She was with her horrified mother when the killing game started. She saw her older siblings die.
My thoughts:
She sounds like a typical little brat who noses into others businesses with such brash confidence that her mother displays that it can be a little annoying. She’s reprimanded at times, but when she’s yelled at by a big, scary adult, she tends to break down and cry. Otherwise, she’ll just scoff and walk away because she suddenly got bored. She even does this with her siblings—even pestering Jun as he’s busy tending his flowers. Oh boy though, she made a mistake by trampling all over his precious tulips. She got such an earful of a rant from him that she cried and ran away, seeking her mother to hide behind because her brother could be quite the scary demon if angered. He’s usually so calm and meek; the switch is very jarring. I can see Atsuko looking up to Chika a little bit because her big sister is just so damn smart! Of course, she always threatens to tattletale on her siblings on a dime, so they scoff and roll their eyes, claiming that she’s a little brat and needs to go somewhere else. Yet, they’re always willing to defend Atsuko from bullies (which she’s prone to make) to keep their little sister out of harm. During down time when she’s particularly bored, she’ll purposefully seek out her older siblings and ask them a bunch of questions about their talents and “why they like that stuff so much,” so Jun and Chika practice some patience and show Atsuko the ropes of gardening and math homework, respectively.
I imagine that during the killing game, Atsuko is frightened upon seeing the bloody murder scenes and the over-the-top brutal executions of her siblings and the other students projected on the massive plasma screen monitors that she clings to her mother’s waist in tears, and buries her face in her chest. Her brother’s execution in particular nearly broke her since it was later revealed that his motive was to win the game along with Chika so that they can both return home to their mom and Atsuko.
On a lighter note! She would probably pout if either Jun or Chika talked about how bratty she could be during one of the down time moments of the game.
Hiroto Yumeno (colors: crimson and yellow)
Gender: Male
Appearance: he has Himiko’s red hair that’s shoulder length tied in a ponytail.
He’s the Ultimate Hang Glider. It’s basically like Kaito, but less hot headed. People are surprised that Himiko and Hiroto are related.
My thoughts:
My goodness, you didn’t give me a height, so I kinda imagined he was one of the taller students in the class who’s physically strong and has a ton of energy to boot. I was also imagining that he has two locks of hair just dangling from his forehead and nicely framing his face. It gives a kind of playful air to his looks. If he’s like Kaito then he’s probably the optimistic, hope-filled motivator of the whole group who provides strength to others. If that’s the case then he’s VASTLY different from his mother! Additionally, he probably wouldn’t have character development and would probably be a victim during chapter 3 or die outright all the way at the end in chapter 6 (even if he’s not the mastermind). I also like imagining him soaring in his hang glider over a steep cliff and taking in the sights below him. He’d love to take his mom Himiko with him during hang gliding but she’s…well, she’s out of MP, let’s just put it at that.
Kenji Chabashira
Gender: Male
Appearance: He’s a male version of his mother. He has long hair tied in a braid.
He takes after his mother’s talent. He’s a silent reserved young man. Like his mom he judges boys more and sees girls as saints. It could lead to his down fall as he could be killed by a girl. He is also asthmatic.
My thoughts:
That’s a second student who is asthmatic! Tsubasa, Kiibo’s adopted son, also has asthma, so I feel that they would understand each other there. I was actually imaging him wearing one of those white martial artist robes with a blackbelt as he meditates in the school/cruise ship’s chapel or garden area. Hell, he could probably even meditate in Jun’s garden! I imagine that Jun is really the only guy that he likes out of the cast as he’s meeker and gentle presenting—at first. Jun is more concerned with preserving his garden and watching over his sister who is also in the game, so Kenji can respect that. The other guys, not so much. As for girls, well, he just m-e-l-t-s whenever they so much as look in his direction. This can be rather startling for the more anxious of the girls, namely Taru, and can be so very *easily* taken advantage of by the cunning and charming Chiemi. Other girls like Shiho find it distracting during investigations and class trial discussions and tend to scold Kenji for derailing the conversation.
I can’t really imagine Kenji as a blackened…but maybe he’s not a victim either? If we’re following the Danganronpa formula but this time with two survivors at the very end of it all, the slots of victim and blackened are almost all filled up. So, I’m thinking that Kenji, if he is a victim, dies either in chapter 3 or in chapter 6 (either as the victim or mastermind). However, I already know who the survivors are, huehuehue…
Honoka Hoshi (bright orange and soft green)
Gender: Female:
Appearance: She has curly bright orange hair and golden eyes.
Ryoma’s adopted daughter. She’s the Ultimate Violinist. She used to be a sneaky street rat on the countryside that ran away from the orphanage, but Ryoma took her in after seeing her sneak around. She’s usually a determined girl that loves music thanks to Kaede. She taught herself how to play the violin. She befriended and has a crush on Hikari.
My thoughts:
Oh, did she know Kaede through her father Ryoma? She was a street-smart girl who was decidedly rough around the edges, but I think a kind heart like Kaede’s can really help to bring out her kinder, more creative side. So, Kaede plays a song for her on her piano as Ryoma watches on from the shadows of the music hall. Like magic, Honoka feels that a weight has been lifted off of her soul and she feels a little happier despite her rough past. Kaede even invites her to sit on the bench next to her and practice playing the piano. Admittedly, Honoka’s not very good at playing, but when she picks up a violin, well, it seemed more interesting to her, so she was in the music hall almost every night secretly practicing away at the violin until her talent was discovered. The rest is history then.
She sounds super-cute though, to be quite honest. I was actually imagining her having these adorable punctuated freckles about her nose and speckled over her forehead with this nerdy looking grin and bright eyes whenever she’s genuinely happy. It was enough to softened even Ryoma’s heart and cause him to lighten up a little. As a side note to her origins, Ryoma probably was sulking about the town at night and caught sight of her trying to break into someone’s home to rob them. He intervened and tried to talk some sense into her, that she was young and filled with potential. That she shouldn’t stoop to the level of petty thief and burglar. Over some time, he keeps seeing her sneak about the town and finds out that she’s just a street rat, so he finds it within himself to adopt her and get her out of that dangerous life.
Well, if she knows Kaede, she more than likely knows Hikari since they are roughly the same age. I imagine they first met when Honoka was walking towards the music hall one evening to practice the violin when she hears the most beautiful, clear voice singing classical opera, of all things! It was so enchanting that Honoka just had to find the source—she rushed into the music hall and found Hikari standing upon the stage, the stage lights illuminating her, giving her form the appearance of an ethereal glow. Honoka was transfixed, even huffing to regain her breath upon the shock of seeing someone so beautiful with a voice so magical. Hikari had made such a wonderful image in her mind that Honoka often stuttered whenever she spoke to Hikari directly. The two became pretty fast friends after that.
Kapena Yonaga (colors: navy and gold)
Gender: Male
Appearance: He has dark blue hair that’s long and tied in a bun.
He’s the Ultimate Navigator. He’s kind of like his mom with a free spirited nature. Kapena likes hanging with Hiroto, while Kenji tags along. He loves talking about his life at sea. Some are legit, while others are not so much. He loves flirting with Hiroto, but he’s oblivious.
My thoughts:
Kenji can actually stand being around two guys who aren’t Jun and his garden?? Wow, that’s pretty shocking. I also like the image of Kapena being a rather carefree and free spirit kind of guy. He probably emphasizes the beauty of the night sky and the stars as he most often uses them as signs from Angie’s god to guide him through his journey. He is the ultimate navigator, after all, so it would make sense that he can master navigation by using the stars as he journeys, especially if he sets sail from his home island (assuming he was born on Angie’s home island). I also imagine that he would stargaze every now and again and try to get Hiroto to join him. However, Hiroto often refuses because he’s more of a morning person and prefers to go to bed early so he can wake up early enough to see the sunrise.
What did you mean by his tales at sea being legit? Is he like Kaito and talks about grand tales about traveling the sea, fighting monsters, and just being awesome? I also imagine that when he gets particularly serious, he ponders in deep thought over the nights where he sails across a sea so calm that it looked like a silky mirror of the ethereal night sky—as if he was gliding through the galaxy itself. It would be sort of like that one scene in the Life of Pi where the main character has an out-of-self moment or astral projection of his life when he gazes down into the mysterious water. Kapena has a moment much like that one where he sees revelations brought before him, and he believes that those revelations were gifts shown to him by Angie’s god whenever he was in particularly dire straits while traveling. It was a way of saying that Atua is with him and watching over him, probably at the behest of his mother. Obviously, he survives and returns home safely after those journeys.
Shizuoka Shinguji (colors: malachite green and white)
Gender: non-binary
Appearance: They look like their parent, Korekiyo.
They’re the Ultimate Make-up Artist. They’re quiet at first, but after knowing them they’re very eccentric and cheerful. They do anything to help and support their friends, but can be lazy and rude at times. They’ve let people interpret their gender.
My thoughts:
Make-up artist would go great with a designer, don’t you think? That fact alone makes me think that Shizuoka would get along well with Chiemi as they work on a fashion magazine project for one of their shared classes. Chiemi would design and tailor the various sublime outfits while Shizuoka would work their magic with makeup to create that stellar and perfect look. Basically, the two of them are an iconic trend-setting duo. Yet, the talent of the Ultimate Make-up Artist does have an advantage! If it’s anything like what was seen in the Hunger Games movies, Shizuoka could use their talent to completely camouflage themself or their victim(s) into the environment and never be found. It’s a dangerous talent to have.
Do they also wear a mask like Kiyo? If they look like him then I’m imagining they look more androgynous in the face—softer facial features and eyes, and long straight hair—with a tall yet rectangle-shaped body. I also feel that because they let others interpret their gender that their classmates are pretty split on their pronouns, with about half using one set and the other half using another set. I think that when they are cheerful that they offer to spruce up the appearance of their classmates with some makeup—nothing drastic, just a few touch-ups here and there, especially at the request of Chiemi who tends to pity those who do not have a coordinated style.
Naoko Tojo (colors: sandy yellow gold and platinum)
Gender: Male
Appearance: He has short wavy sandy blond hair and freckles on his face, and he wears glasses.
He’s the Ultimate Barista. An average boy with average humble and honest personality…at least people assume as he seems rather secretive on things. He also is very good at flirting and wooing girls. He loves gardening and collecting coins with his birth year. He could be the mastermind or a killer.
My thoughts:
Oh, he sounds like such a charmer. And…like he can be witty and sarcastic in your typical exhausted formal butler with the best clap-backs ever?? I can clearly imagine a very miffed Chiemi walking into his bar after a frustrating day and complain to him about all the incompetence she had to endure, and they just trade sarcastic remarks with each other until she feels a bit more comfortable. He’s pretty deft with his hands and has a gentle touch he applies to dishes, glasses, and silver ware as he cleans them.
Omg…FRECKLES though!!!! Have I ever told you that I adore freckles?? He sounds adorable, and I can just imagine him giving a playful wink towards the girls in the class and they would just *swoon* and vie for his attention. It would also be sweet if he gave such small but nice complements to Masuya and correct her whenever she claims that she isn’t beautiful. Well, most of them. Chiemi is a little narcissistic to be totally captivated, and Honoka is more interested in Hikari. Still, softer girls like Hikari and Taru might fall for his charm. But hey, if he likes gardening, he could be besties with Jun, the Ultimate Gardner. They could bond by dutifully tending to the school’s garden/park.
I was also imagining that he could display his coin collection on the wall behind the bar and casually talk about it if any of the other students asked. Hmm, he *could* be a killer of chapter 3 and follow Hifumi’s fate of being off’ed by another student (in this case, Shinichi) and be a victim himself. I was thinking that the mastermind could be a bonafide ultimate despair either brainwashed to commit atrocities or not brainwashed and forced to implement the killing game because they feel that someone has a knife to their throat or a gun to their head and Naoko has far too much to lose. I really love the idea of a covert ultimate despair who could very well be anyone, just like in DR3 future arc.
Masuyo Gokuhara (colors: maroon and brown)
Gender: Female
Appearance: She looks like Gonta, except she has brown eyes.
She’s the Ultimate Bodybuilder. She’s a strong willed woman who likes giving out rousing speeches of encouragement, but gets embarrassed if you compliment her and doesn’t consider herself beautiful. She has a strong sense of justice and a black and white view on the world. She’ll learn over time in the killing game though.
My thoughts:
Oh god, she sounds so precious already!!! She’s probably a super gentle sweetheart like her father but has a little more social awareness. I imagine that she has a heart much like Sakura’s in that she’s strong and has such an intense desire to protect others that it might actually do her in at the very end. I mean, you do know what happens to the buff sweethearts in chapter 4, don’t you??? Riiiiiiiiight??? Still, I feel like Naoko would treat her right, and I think I ship them now.
Is she the typical “hope-filled” character in this game? It would be so, so satisfying to have her character arc and development into a character who abandons blind hope but still keeps cautious optimism.
Hani Amed (burgundy and orange)
Gender: Female
Appearance: She has thick dark purple curly hair, brown eyes and black skin (few shades darker than Angie’s). She’s a taller girl.
A girl that’s from Africa who lived in America, she’s under Maki’s watch and enrolled as the Ultimate Zoologist. She’s a girl that’s not good with people or socializing. She’s timid to new and not good with most conversations that she’d talk too fast and say things that would make things awkward (“why would I say that?”). She loves animals and studied the Japanese language thanks to a Japanese neighbor. She knew about Hope’s Peak and has shown some strong knowledge to animals at a young age. She learned about a bear’s behavior at the age of 11. So she became determined to become the world’s best Zoologist and save the endangered species. By the time she graduated from middle school, she was scooted as the Ultimate Zoologist. Hani is determined to make new friends though she never thought of being forced into a killing game.
My thoughts:
Ok, so she and Taru would probably be besties because they’re both awkward developing teenaged girls who are just trying to navigate their way through highschool life and deadly killing game as best they can. Taru also sometimes says weird things or her words come out jarbled because her mouth can’t keep up with her brain, and it’s just an awkward social mess. So Hani and Taru would probably be the best at talking to each other because they feel the most comfortable around each other.
Your muse just walked in on mine holding a newborn baby. How does yours react?

Billy’s cheeks were flustered as he heard Tommy walk in, and he looked up from where he was sweated on a rocking chair, holding the bundle of pastel purple blankets. His eyes softened as they met Tommy’s, and without words, he nodded and stood up from the chair. “… Here, come hold her. She’s just fallen asleep.”
