Of all the judges in all the world, you walked into this little girl's case, Judge Baugh. You need to check yourself!
Judge apologizes for teen rape remarks, not sentence
A Billings, Mont., judge who sentenced a man to 30 days for raping a 14-year-old girl is standing by his decision but has apologized for comments blaming the victim, who killed herself.
I've been before my share of judges. I've been before my share of stupid judges. I've been before my share of judges that when I addressed them as "your honor" I threw up a little in my mouth. I've been before my share of judges who have worse logic than my four year old. Don't even get me started on the judge who addressed her dinner party invitations while we were doing a pre-trial conference.
Yet, through all of those nails on the chalkboard, please let me out of this god forsaken profession moments, this guy, this sorry excuse for a human being, Judge Baugh from Billings, Montana takes home the prize for the biggest dolt to ever wear the robe. And that's counting the ones who took bribes and are serving prison time.
Because Judge Baugh, your honor, *vomit* wretch* vomit* is that with your robe, your power, your position, you had the chance to make things right for a girl who only could see wrong. She saw so much wrong in her life that she thought that ending her life would be better than living the life this monster left her with. You had the chance to bring justice to a girl who we failed by giving the man a plea deal in the first place. We, as a justice system, hurt her once, and she killed herself. Now we hurt her again by spitting on her grave with a 30 day sentence for raping a little girl.
The fact that he didn't beat her before he raped her, didn't hold her down, that she willingly had sex with the man is not for you to pass judgment on, despite your title as a judge. It is your job to impose a sentence to a man who RAPED a child. The law gives you a very clear standard of what RAPE of a child actually is, just follow it!
Saying the girl acted older than her age (because, what Judge Baugh, you've been around a slough of 14 year olds lately?, the ones who love Miley Cyrus twerking and bumping and grinding in public? They all act older than their age! Sign of the times! Call all the perverts out, let the rape fest begin!) Oh, right you apologized for blaming the victim. Sure, makes us all feel whole now, thank you.
I hate defending stupid things judges do when they follow the law, trying to explain it to actual, logical people in this world with the flawed logic of the law and lawyers. But I would do that all day long and not have to bathe in bleach if judges like you would just leave the bench, leave the law and maybe live in a cabin in the woods where your extremely flawed logic and skewed view of the world and our children wouldn't bother anyone.
