15-year-old Faris has been dreaming about meeting #DoctorWho for a long time. He was diagnosed at birth with Osteogenesis Imperfecta Type 2 – commonly known as brittle bone disease. He was at first given a very small chance of survival, and was born with a broken collar bone, broken ribs, and broken femur bone. He faced intense round-the-clock treatment, including morphine infusions to reduce the pain, and metal rods inserted into his legs. He miraculously survived – but now lives life with new bone fractures occurring on a daily basis.

Just like every other kid, Faris has dreams about growing up and wants to become an entertainer. He knows everything about his favourite show @bbcdoctorwho and wished to meet actor Peter Capaldi, who played the Doctor until 2017. When Peter found out about Faris, he was so enthusiastic about the wish and carved out almost 3 hours in Toronto to sit with Faris and discuss ALL of Faris' questions. He even signed an original Doctor Who script that he was given as a young fan, and gifted it to Faris. He also brought a Dalek!
