Day 13: Values
How does your OC define “good” and “evil”? “Right” and “wrong”? Do they bother to consider such things at all? What are your OC’s priorities? What’s the first thing they consider when making a decision? Are they Dark side or Light side? Somewhere in between?
Beowin: Subscribes to a higher moral system than most other Bounty Hunters. Abstaining from violence, letting his enemies live, and wanting to bring peace and order to the galaxy makes Beowin a weirdo light sider. This sort of mentality doesn’t often jive well with other bounty hunters, but Beowin believes in his views and is willing to stick to his guns for them. (oh how ironic.) If Beowin had it his way, war wouldn’t happen at all, and bounty hunting would be an outdated and unnecessary career.
Scorch: Good: Republic. Bad: Empire. More specifically, Scorch’s real mission is to stop the Empire. The reasons he believes this is due to the relentless nature of those in power of the Empire and the merciless killings and atrocities that they commit. Slavery, Genocide, apartheid, fascism, Dirigisme, emo fashion, publicly accepted murder, and more. Needless to say, he hates the Empire....
Ardebit: “I mean...what even is good or bad? The galaxy can’t be defined in such black or white terms. If we ever hope to understand the galaxy we have to walk the line of morality. Occasionally we’ll let our enemy live so they may serve us later. At times, you may need a new set of stem cells for research so you need a fresh bo-*cough* organ donor. Some may call me evil, but others call me too generous. I consider myself as practical.” -Ardebit, Galactic asshat
Jath: Jath’s gut is his moral compass. “If I leave him alive, will this bite me in the ass?”, “Do I have to kill him?” While not as blood-thirsty as a Sith, Jath isn’t against killing someone if he thinks that there’s even a remote chance of them doing something to harm him. Which more often than not, leaves him in the Dark Side, but Jath feels he’s just doin’ what he must to stay alive, and be a badass while doing it.
