I especially love how enthusiastic modern varian is to be dancing with hugo at the second half of the sequence

like to me, his expression here specifically screams a look of recognition like he's remembered how much he does love him back and doesnt hold back on making sure hugo knows it hence the kiss at the end ITS SO SWEET AAAGHHH

this entry was highly inspired by @bucketsfullofyou's really cool majestic cape idea for LO Varian and I'm so in love with it so ofc I wanna pay an homage to it!!

I also wanna shout out @elfand0m for sharing and exploring this idea with me as LO Varian's outfit (that Eugene commissioned/tailored just for him to wear) when he had his own ceremonial "debut" being officiated as a member of the royal family as "the jewel of the dark kingdom". (he couldn't wait for the whole thing to be over the whole time but thank god his best friend was there to keep him company at least) It was a really cute and fun idea and I absolutely loved it to bits

This is the prettiest and cutest LO Wolfgo has ever looked and he looks so relaxed and at peace being in Varian's embrace it's so sweet aww awwh (no wonder V was determined to convince his guardians to let him keep him fr) and Varian really looks so princess here, I dunno how to explain it but something about it just do and I absolutely love it you made him so so prettyyy aaaaaaackkk

Also the monochrome is doing such an ethereal vibe to the whole piece and even the choice of color is so cool because (I dont even know if it was intentional or not but either way) from afar it even looks like the shade of the moon, like that's pretty sick af dude i'm in loveee

hi!!! um I just wanted to say i just picked up varian off the metaphorical tumblr street like a stray dog. i have never watched the show (although i want to) but i have now decided he is my blorbo. anyway i have rapidly fallen into varigo and your art is just so scrumptious omggg i want to eat it

Yknow whats actually pretty funny? Fun fact: I have been doodling them since 2024 and already gathering a pile of art of them in my desk but I still havent drawn a varigo kissing art all this time. I dunno, I've been treating it like a big thing so I have to be in the ambitious headspace to even start manifesting it, if that makes sense. But I WILL eventually, it is a canon event trust
