Writing my FDSA lecture notes and writing about how I feel stupid because I know a lot of this but I don’t do it. Why don’t I do it?

Trying to put a halt on those thoughts though. Because here’s why I haven’t been doing those (foundational heeling) behaviours:

They haven’t been a priority to me.

That’s it. Plain and simple, I have been focussing on so many other things - dog and not this particular niche topic I have previously enjoyed (heeling with Thistle) just hasn’t been a priority over the past year.

It just hasn’t been.

And that’s fine. I don’t regret doing what I have been focussing on (second dog, life skills, scent detection, multi dog household, exercising, landscaping) It is impossible to do everything at once (and work and socialise and sleep and I have two jobs christ etc etc).

Maybe it can get slotted in here and there as I mentally rejuggle what I would like to focus on.

Maybe it won’t.

It’s not a big deal though, so idk why I have been mentally beating myself up over the fact I hadn’t taught my puppy to turn right on a target consistently
