*SQUAWK!*

I turn around meeting myself face to face with a small red bird perching on a low lying tree branch.

I point at it. “Friend.”

I look into my inventory for seeds to gain its trust. None. 

I started punching at some grass, obtaining some seeds easily enough.

I pointed at the red bird again, who hadn’t moved. “Friend. Friendship. Be my friend, fellow bird.”

The bird squawks in reply.

I hold out the seeds in my hand, the bird flies over landing on my shoulder and immediately accepts the seeds.
