When I was a kid, I started Pearl with Chimchar. At the time, I used Chimchar up til it was an Infernape. I'm not sure what was going through my young brain at the time, but I evidently decided it would be a good idea to grind a Staraptor up to level 100, box my Infernape, and go through the league with just that. Chimchar's always had a weird place in my heart because of that, so I decided to draw it.
