There’s been a lot on my mind recently. I’ve been struggling to cope with what is going on in my life. But I came across this quote...and it’s reminded me of something Steve would say: “It may not be the first dream, or the dream of the moment. But you shift your dreams. You find a dream that might come true. And when it does, you focus on the joy of success rather than the devastation of defeat. Because in my experience, anyone can dream the impossible dream. This next one is very special to me. Steve has gotten me through some of the worst moments of my life. From going into surgery to my recovery. My journey with chronic illness. My friend says I have McGarrett strength and toughness. This guy is truly special. So to Steve!

Quick update: I try so hard not to pity myself or ask for sympathy from people or be negative about my situation. I know others are worse off than me. That doesn’t mean I’m not struggling too. I’m having a tough time coping with my illnesses and the thought of more diagnosis to come. Could use a pick me up.
