There is nothing more I hate than making reference sheets, so I'm forcing myself to create 50 of them (eventually).

I've never been a fan of those monthly art challanges, because having to finish one drawing per day just isn't right for me. So instead I'm letting myself have all the time in the world, but eventually I'll get there because I'm tired of seeing a meme that makes me think "Oh this really fits my oc I should draw it!" Only to realize that said oc has no design and exists exclusively in my mind.

Not only that, I'd like each character I create to have story attached to them, so I am also forced to write 50 character personalities and backstories. Lots of 50s for me this year, hopefully it helps me improve much more.

And maybe generate some interest for my humble little world :-)

"There exist Animals who are a little more clever than you expect. They knowingly press the buttons on the remote to get to a specific channel, they seem to steal your clothes to wear them while refusing to ever be naked, and maybe they log on to your computer to post on their hidden blog you have no idea about."

"While it's true that their faces do somewhat resemble humans, they have been considered below them. And yet, when an "Animal" is living life just as humans do, what is really setting them apart from you anymore? No longer can you call them "Animals", instead they are Chimera."

"Angels like me, we believe that someday, the Chimera will stand as equals alongside you. We understand that it's hard for to accept this, so we will be the ones to guide them. We will teach them to live just as you do, until the day when you've finally accepted them into your hearts."

Character 1, Lenz

"You may have known me as Ivori before, sorry to say she's no longer with us. Even Angels are subject to death and time, but at the cost of my wisdom and memories, I remain as youthful as ever. Even after thousands of years.

So please keep in mind, I have no idea who you are. And you have no idea who I am either. Ivori is no more, I have taken her place. But don't worry, I'll be here to guide you little Chimera, just as she did. Just give me some time, it takes a while to collect my wisdom back..."

Character 2, Paisley

"It's no secret that Animals have always been below humans, to them there is no difference between a Chimera and a Beast. Despite that, from a union of Human and Animal, I was born. I was still a baby when The radiant Angel, Ivori, took pity on me and only me. She brought me to the homeland of Chimera, while my mother was left on the outskirts of the Grand Wildland.

I have never seen the face of my mother, and I don't particularly care about family. Her only contribution to my life, leaving behind my sister before ultimately disappearing, never to be seen again. That seems to be the only good thing she'd done for us."

Character 3, Lepis

"It is said that the serpents were cursed to crawl on their bellies, so when a little serpent was born with two legs, the humans were very intrigued. Some saw him as a sign of the apocalypse, while others thought he ought to be displayed for all to see.

A radiant Angel saw that he was crafty, just as serpents always were. She told him about Chimeras, and invited him to their homeland. Ever since then, he had always remained by her side. Even as she dissolved into oblivion. On that day, he had witnessed the reversal of time. From the dissolving Angel, a Noble Maiden had blossomed. The Radiant Angel had bore fruit, so the little serpent decided to be a fruit farmer.

....It's been two and a half decades, and now that Noble Maiden has kicked me out to live with some boyfriend..."

And that's all for now! I thought it'd be more interesting to write their little introductions as if they're saying it, instead of "this guy did this and he did that and then he died". Maybe my writing is absolute crap but hey, I'll never get better if I don't work on it.

Tumblr is a lot better for unlimited yapping, bluesky's word limit is very....limiting.
