Many sanctuaries and rescue centres offer symbolic adoptions, allowing caring folk to contribute to the care of chimps who have come from often appalling situations. The satisfaction of knowing your donation is helping to give a retired or rescued chimpanzee the happy and safe life of which they are so deserving is reward in itself, but you will often be treated with photographs and stories of your adopted invididual as a token of appreciation for your kindness as well.
