I’m a bit behind with #marchmeetthemaker I’m afraid but I didn’t want to miss today’s prompt which is ‘inspiration’. I am so lucky to be surrounded by not only a wonderful family but also a totally fabulous community of creative and inspirational friends. I could have picked any one of them to talk about but I think my biggest inspiration is the amazing @jo_empson_illustrator. I met her during my MA at Cambridge School of Art, when we immediately clicked and proceeded to get lost on the way to lectures together every week for 2 years! I love Jo’s vibrant, colourful and loose illustrations, her amazing work ethic, and the way she just seems to overflow with beautiful ideas. All the while remaining the kindest and gentlest person you could ever meet. Here is one of Jo’s lovely books, Never Ever, along with the puppet I made for her.
