A real love story doesn’t have an ending. This year is a good year despite the calamity and pandemic. The XianZi family is always as lovely as this couple. Can’t wait for their episode on the sequel.
云边有个小卖部 novel will be on cinema with an English title of Moment we shared, actress Zhou Ye will play Cheng Shuang while Liu Shi San will be played by Peng Yu Chang. Half a year ago, after I finished reading Zhe Yao (bending waist- Prisoner of Beauty) a friend recommended this novel by Zhang Jia Jia (张嘉佳), and for 3 days I laughed and cried with Liu Shi San and Wang Yingying, and most with Cheng Shuang. I certainly agree with the author, Zhou Ye is a perfect fit for the role as Cheng Shuang as she has the fiery personality of Ah Xiang (Word of Honor drama) and Yanhui (Back from the brink) in addition to her beauty and charisma. I can't wait to see how Peng Yu Chang will make life to Liu Shi San, I know he can really carry this role, as Liu Shi San has a parallel personality with Zhang Chu Lan (I am nobody drama) and of course there's little Qiuqiu, who in some ways, have given Chen Shuang an experience she will never ever had in her life. Those who have read the novel, will never forget Cheng Shuang, and hopefully those who will be able to watch the movie next year too. Cheng Shuang: 你要记得我！

Xiao Zhan, known as Doctor Zhan to every audience and Hand of God to every patient, is a famous celebrity doctor in Chongqing. He is admired as a young and handsome surgeon who is an expert in succeeding the next-to-impossible surgeries. After he begins working here, many lives have been saved, making the small hospital become a well-known one in the whole city A young ace, Detective Wang Yibo, is reallocated from Luoyang to Chongqing district to investigate the continuous disappearances of the local inhabitants. It has been reported that at night after nine p.m, woman or man who dare to saunter the street alone will be filed as 'missing' the next day. Together with his partner, they investigate every crook and corner in order to catch that psycho. His conclusion leads him to Doctor Zhan. However, no one believes this. Not even his partner. Wang Yibo commits to get the evidence to prove the guilt of Xiao Zhan. Alone. In order to do that, he has to get close to this famous two-faced doctor. Doctor Zhan, of course, knows the intention of the detective's approach. However, for the sake of Yibo's pretty face, he enthusiastically plays along. The final question is...who will win this game?

"Please, please, Yibo. Kill me. Kill me now." I am begging him as I cling onto his shoulders.
"What? You know I can't do that!" Yibo shakes his head as he keeps holding me up, supporting me on my wobbly legs.
"Yes, you can. You're a detective. You kill criminals, don't you?"
"We don't KILL! We just catch them." He pauses before continues, "Unless they resist."
"Then pretend that I resist. Where is your gun? Take it out and shoot me." I fumble with his waistline trying to find the gun.
"Xiao Zhan, stop! Are you crazy?" His grip on my upper arms is tightened. He shakes my body with force as if to jerk me awake from my rambling self. "Snap out of it!"
"I can't! He'll be coming any minute. You have to kill me before he kills you. Please Yibo!" I break down crying and collapse into his broad chest.

On Tuesday, July 30th, 2019, the Providence, Rhode Island band Psychic Graveyard made their LA debut at Resident, along with Plack Blague and LA’s own Prissy Whip. It was an outstanding night for underground noise and industrial rock. And if you missed it but love noise rock, you should feel disappointed. Here’s a recap:
Prissy Whip is a razor-sharp noise rock band with female-fronted vocals. I was reminded of an extreme, and up-to-date Gang of Four, Botch, The Locust, or Blood Brothers. The band played an all new set, which, speaking with drummer Dalton Blanco after the show, the band has already recorded and sent off to the printing plant. Since the set they played is not available online, those in attendance were blessed to be there. I can attest that the songs are brutal, heavy, technical, and very very good. Every song sounded like I was being hit by a moving truck. We were lucky to enough to grab the setlist as well. With songs like “Erzebet” which is named after the first female serial killer in Hungary, you can be sure the songs are just as abrasive, in the good way.
Plack Blague is an industrial dance band for fans of everything heavy, dark, and dancey: Front 242 fronted by the Gimp from Pulp Fiction. Over pulsating, throbbing synths and beats, a leather-strapped male dances, shouts, and wretches on stage. It is a violent spectacle to behold. And since most of their music is not available online (youtube only), you can rest assured that a show might be the only place to catch this hot, sticky band. We don’t know much about their songs or song titles, but the last song (and most danciest) they played was titled “Boys Club,” so if you have an active imagination, you have an idea of what it might sound like. We can’t wait to hear it again.
Psychic Graveyard, the new band from Eric Paul (ex-The Chinese Stars, Arab on Radar) and other veteran members of the underground noise scene, did not disappoint on their first visit to LA. As expected, Eric Paul put on an electric and unpredictable performance, climbing on amps, making weird faces, showing his nipples, flipping off the crowd, as he shrieked and howled avant-garde poetry over the interesting noise and static his band generated. It was a spectacle to behold, giving new electricity to the songs on their debut album (Loud as Laughter), which arguably must be seen/heard live to fully appreciate and understand. As a result of the evening’s excellent programming, a plethora of LA musicians and appreciators of extreme music were in attendance, including members of Truck Bitch, Egrets on Ergot, Retox, Moving Units, and more. Many celebrity sightings were possible, but the musicians on the stage were the biggest stars of the night.
