But there is so much more to this than just that.
Not only will this funeral be of an unparalelled magnitude, demonstrating to the entire planet why this monarchy until this day is the biggest, most famous, most covered and most influential in history.
It´s also the moment when another man will visibly rise to new power, along with the new King.
William is now the new Prince of Wales to be soon invested, and the direct heir to the throne.
His brother is no longer his equal, never will be his equal anymore - not that he ever was in the line of succession, but in the minds of many (and the minds of two people in particular) they were always seen as "Diana´s boys", and thought of as on the same level because they once had been so close, and after marriage both had been mainly going by their ducal titles.
In the last four years, as the family was getting attacked relentlessly and the supposedly "equal" brother tried everything to undermine his own kin, William´s hands were tied and he had to constrain himself; it was not his time yet, not his place yet, not possible to unleash his power and the full brunt of his unforgiving, merciless anger. He had to hold back, and was held back.
That is forever over as of this afternoon.
His brother - and the horrendous woman he chose - will have to bow to him for the rest of their lives, should they step before his eyes.
Their financial fate is now in HIS hands, he holds the purse strings.
It is HIS wife, who now takes over the title of Diana.
And just like many years ago, every media outlet on this planet will now once again write their names together, print their pictures together, draw comparisons between them. But from then on, it will remain permanent. It will be forevermore. The other two will never, ever, ever again be mentioned in the same breath with any of those who ever carried the Wales title.
Mark my words and wait for the inevitable last attempt of a "Lilibet/Lilibet" push. Wait for the inevitable sob story how she was shut out, told to stay away, how terrible it was to go through all of this when they had just gloriously returned to the UK. Wait for the Netflix Vom Fest. Wait for all of it.
It changes nothing, it will change nothing. It´s over.
Last year they unleashed their vicious attacks and lies while Philip was ailing, and the family was begging them to stop. They didn´t. They disrespectfully and openly spat in everyone´s faces with their statement that they will not be held back from speaking, as the family was only "using Philip as an excuse". And we know what then happened. Philip died.
