Alternate Outfits Concept Art 12/1/2017

       "As many of you probably know we've long held the belief that we wouldn't try to force updates and we'd work on only updating the blog when there is something to talk about or show. Well, with the addition of our two artists we do have something to show you. Here are some concepts of the alternate outfits for Chioko and Heiwako. 

       While they have been working on other stuff besides these we aren't ready to show those yet. All that being said we are making progress on sprites and the final script is coming along at a steady pace. We hope we'll get to show you more art and concept work in the near future."

The Visual Novel format, while engaging and classic, felt too limiting for our team.This is why we decided to branch out into category that gives us more  creative freedom. Without any further adieu we are excited to announce our new, reformed project: Quest for Full Hearts!

Since we know how loved characters from our previous project are, We decided to keep them, making just slight adjustment to fit into their new fantasy environment.

The basic functions of the game are already implemented, however many things are still subjects to change.

In these down times where there is a drought in regards to major updates, I usually spend the free time I get messing around with the characters of the game.

In the sketch above you can see me messing arund with Chioko’s expressions. Normally I see Chioko as more of a happy kind of gal, but here I gave Chioko what I can only describe as a “thousand-mile stare.” This kind of expression is usually far from the general “happy” vibe I get from her, but the more I look at it the more I end up thinking its cute...in a creepy kind of way.

The other drawing is of a character that hasnt been given much attention(by me anyways), Masuyo. Ive been messing around with old concepts to see what I can get out of it, its mainly just having fun with her hair though. Experimenting with hair is usually just fun to do.

Also, Halloween is coming up, isn't it? I do plan to have some drawings uploaded that day, hopefully I wont end up being late to the party by the time I upload the drawings(heads up, I probably will be).

Anyways, I hope these drawings help pass the time until we can actually update you guys on stuff. Hope to post more art soon.

Good evening everyone, or morning, depending where you are!

We received a few messages from you over the weekend, sorry we didn't respond immediately, we just wanted to make a post about them so everybody could see our answers. So, let's begin.

Thank you so much for your kind words, I hope I speak for everyone at MBS when i say it means a lot to hear such kind words this early on in development! A finishing date?! Oh dear I hate to say it but it won't be for a little while, right now we are finalizing character designs (granted they may change) and should be releasing a hefty amount of information on the characters in the coming month. But don't lose hope just yet, our head writer is just about done with the first route (all acts) and should be starting the second route before the week is out! 

Will we charge for Full Hearts?

The short answer is no. The long answer is nooooooooooooo. (that's a joke ladies and gentlemen) But in all seriousness this has been a concern of ours from the beginning. We want to create an amazing story with characters that you will fall in love with, and considering none of us are being paid for it, it can make things a bit more difficult. Our artists and composer produce amazing work, you have seen and heard just some samples of it and on a personnel note: it hurts to know that I do not have the funds to pay them. Sure they signed up knowing they would not be paid but it does not feel right not giving them what they deserve. Right now we are working on finding a way to either commission them, support them, or support us as the game gets farther along. But right now those are still thoughts. All that is final is that you will not be forced to pay money to play Full Hearts.

2. I do not know who you are sir / madam but I think I will get a good night sleep for the first night in a long time thanks to you! It really means a lot! It is always nice to know someone is happy that you exist.

3. Oh my stars more money!? You guys really what to give us your hard earned cash. What's wrong, is it burning a hole in your pocket or what? As we said above, we are still figuring donations/money-talks amungst the group. We will let you know soon enough.

Oh no, in my effort to fall asleep I accidentally posted more art from two of our artists (one is MIA)! But in all seriousness it is past our bedtimes here at MBS. Our composer just recieved his new computer and The story arc for one of our routes is almost halfway done! That means the story arcs are 10% complete! In an effort to make up for time lost playing Destiny our writer will be spending most of tomorrow, er...today (technically) finishing up the route. More music and art is on the way soon. Sleep well everyone and pleasant dreams!
