Popstar Cody Simpson suffers tooth chip before radio awards

Right before attending an awards night for young popstars, any budding musician would hope to be looking their best, however, Cody Simpson was not so lucky this week and he suffered a dental injury right before the iHeartRadio Awards in Los Angeles. The Australian popstar managed to chip his tooth just hours before the ceremony was due to begin and he took to Twitter for some sympathy before heading for the red carpet.

Although he did not post a picture of his injury, the 19-year-old tweeted ‘When you chip ya tooth before the award show…’ shortly before he was due to attend the event. He didn’t mention how the injury was sustained and made no comment on whether it would be repaired in time for him to attend the show.

Despite his tooth damage, the teenager still managed to raise a smile for the waiting photographers, albeit without his teeth showing. He dressed down for the event, wearing a casual ensemble of denim shirt, leather jeans, and a baseball cap, and although he seemed in good spirits, he was certainly reluctant to reveal his teeth for the photographers, leaving fans to wonder whether the dental injury had been repaired yet.
