How did you get your questions answered by staff and where did you ask them? I'd like to ask some questions myself While I'm not expecting to get answers, I'd still like the opportunity to ask them. 😁
So none of those were my questions! There's a big official discord server for TDP (more information on twitter I think or in the backlog of my "discord" tag) and they recently did a lil informal Q&A! They plan to do others in the future
Question, do you know if there is any canon information about how close all the 7 Kingdoms are from each other, e.g. whether you can travel to each other by land (like Corona and Neserdnia), or it you have to travel by boat to certain kingdom's? Also I assume other countries mentioned like Rochester (which appears Edwardian or Victorian England style) and Quintonia (which looks like Marie Antoinette style France) are furthered away in distance. I'll hoping to create more places in my fanfic.
There is no canonical evidence of actual distance. However, we did learn from a road sign in “Day of the Animals” that Corona, Ingvarr, Neserdnia and Pittsford can all be reached by land. However, we also know that Pittsford can be reached by boat, from “Not In the Mood,” and that Neserdnia is (at least in part) an island kingdom from “Way of the Willow.” We also know, from “Pascal’s Dragon” that they get their goods from Neserdnia by boat shipment, so it is at most a completely island kingdom and at least coastal. (The road sign may also have been directing people to the shore they need to go to in order to take a boat to other kingdoms. We can’t rule that out.)
Equis is coastal, given that a) it’s Corona’s neighbor and Corona is coastal, b) they were able to release Trevor Junior into the sea without losing any time, and c) King Trevor arrived by boat/has a navy. Landlocked countries don’t generally have navies, especially in those days. But it is the closest to Corona, as Eugene and Frederic were able to get there and back in a day, even after being imprisoned.
Also, “kingdoms” aren’t the only kinds of lands there are. There are also empires (ruled by an emperor/empress), principalities (ruled by a prince/princess), duchies (ruled by a duke/duchess), marks or marchs (ruled by a marquess/marchioness), counties (ruled by an earl or count/countess), viscounties or viscountships (ruled by a viscount/viscountess), and baronies (ruled by a baron/baroness). Don’t think that all of the lands in your fanfiction need to be kingdoms. There’s also things like city states.
Quintonia, for example, wouldn’t be a kingdom, it would be a duchy. The person we meet from Rochester is Dame Elizabeth Van Hoskins. Sir and Dame are titles given to people who have made outstanding contributions in their field and have been awarded official honors in the name of the reigning monarch. She is not a ruler of Rochester, so it’s hard to say what kind of land Rochester is. And then there’s Vardaros, which I recently mentioned might simply be a barony, since it’s ruled by The Baron.
Italy was mentioned by name, and French is a language, so it goes to follow that France is a country. Eugene peppers Spanish into his dialogue as well, so Spain is likely a country, too. Germany is also likely its own separate country, because Ludvig the baker has a German accent and he and his wife have that stereotypical Bavarian look that other Coronans don’t share.
The name of the Lorbs’ island is Terapi Island.
☕️Thoughts on each Sonic character and any plans on you have for more Human AU's?
well each one will take forever but I think my general opinion of sonic characters is that they're very well written, the way each character is distinct with their own unique personality, goals, flaws, backstory..etc they're very fun to explore! I used to read the comics back in middle school and I still enjoy the way these different personalities interact in games like crossworlds
Yup! I'm definitely planning to add more characters and comics to the human au, next would be Tails and Cream! 😊
In your personal opinion, do you think Varian was 16 or 17 in the series finale, as the show did span over three years and he would probably either of those ages in the finale. Here's my thoughts Season 3 start and mid - 15 1/2 to 16, Season 3 finale - 16 1/2 to 17. I'm wondering as I plan to write a spin-off fanfic for him.
In my opinion, he was 16 in the finale.
Can you please share at least one of your favourite songs sung by each RTA character?
Rapunzel - The Girl Who Has Everything (Reprise)
Eugene - Everything I Ever Thought I Knew
Cassandra - Waiting In the Wings
Lance - Bigger Than That
Varian - Let Me Make You Proud
I'm going to safely assume the drink that was served at the Snuggly Duckling tavern was possibly root beer?
We see Ulf pour something into the tankards from what looks like a soda bottle.
But “Varian was underage drinking” can be pried from my cold, dead fingers. They weren’t afraid to have ale in the movie, and the Snuggly Duckling produces wine. Let everyone have a little liquid courage before marching into battle.*
*Note: I do not condone underage drinking. Between the glass bottle and the paper umbrella Pascal had, I assume they were going for “nondescript nonalcoholic beverage of choice.”
But it was still beer/ale.
Do you think Lance going deaf is going to be a continuing feature in the remaining episodes, or do you think this was simply a one off thing? What do think Varian and Eugene were saying to Lance during the "deaf" scenes? Do you think either of them realise he's gone deaf (if him yelling "What!?" was enough)?
No, I think Lance’s tinnitus is going to be a one-off gag that doesn’t affect him for the last two episodes of the season (otherwise they likely wouldn’t have been playing it for laughs).
I’ve seen a couple different people translating it. Varian has been pinned down to, “I said we only put in a drop, ONE DROP! I didn't mean pour the whole thing LANCE!"
And Eugene was translated by the hard working @critical-gemini-hero here (x).
