I don't have anything else to do with this information so: horde prime is seemingly able to control every and all chipped etherians. he takes direct control over catra, the mayor of elberon and Spinnerella, the last we know for sure wasn't dunked. being 'dipped' seems to put the chipped etherian in question in a euphoric-like state, as chipped-Catra acted truly and genuinely at peace, while chipped-Spinny "didn't seem to be feeling much of anything" 1/2

in the words of swift wind, at least. until a chip starts to fuse with the nervous system, however, it doesn't seem to have access to personal details, just the basics/ when we first see chipped-Micah in mystacor, the chip has not yet fused and he greets glimmer, casta and SW with "daughter" "sister" and "her, not so much" respectively. it isn't until the chip has almost taken over that he calls glimmer his nickname for her, "baby girl" (oh and prime also controls mermista! forgot that one) 2/3

and the more the chip fuses with the nerve system, the harder it seems to be to snap them out of it. when glimmer is fighting micah, she doesn't manage to snap him out of it for a moment. scorpia is the exception, as when it fuses up to her arms in green she manages to and even manages to miss perfuma. scorpia, of course, is the exception and not the rule-- her heart is simply to big. she even held out on blasting bow. in chipped DT the most that would snap them out would be a spotlight lol 3/3

Excellent observations/analysis about the chips.

Jokes aside, I think snapping anyone out of mind control requires something very personal and emotional, and that would go for DT as well. Problem is, nobody knows what that is for them. Since they're not friends with anybody, I think the heroes would be more likely to go with the tried-and-true method of knocking them out in a straightforward fight rather than trying to figure out their big red emotional button. The only one who knows them at all is Catra, and as far as we know, she never learned anything substantial about their past - or their present for that matter. Plus, if it gets harder to snap them out as the chip gets more integrated? Chances are slim to none.

Maybe the spotlight is worth a try lol.
