Philadelphia's chiptune scene needs your help!
8static has been Philly's monthly chiptune show for 5 years now, showcasing talented chiptune musicians from around the globe and streaming the results via radio for all to see and appreciate. Now, this October, they are celebrating their anniversary by expanding to a weekend long festival. 8static has been trying to raise funds via Kickstarter to dedicate more resources to Performers (to try and cover their travel expenses), Personnel (to hire more festival workers who can ensure smooth changeovers and a comfortable experience for attendees), and Audio/Visual Equipment (to provide the best show we can offer for the dedicated fans and extremely talented musicians that will be performing.) Even the smallest contribution helps: the minimum pledge is a dollar. There are also great rewards for people who donate, like free digital downloads of Philly Chip Vol 1. compilation album, free downloads of Storm Blooper's "Jawn-Dis" or Dain Saint "Pieces of 8", t-shirts, door-stickers, gear, and even free skype lessons from NO CARRIER, Chipocrite, and Animal Style (for large donations).
