A pixelated polymath of the highest order, a modern day Leonardo ChipVinci ( 😂 ), Sam Wray has been making a splash in the live tech, gaming, visual arts scene over the last year. Founder of µCollective; Sam Wray appears on a mission to tie together the world of makers, hackers, musicians and visual artists.

Q1 - What’s your number one party banger, and why?

Skrillex - Recess. ~controversial~ I know, but it's so bad it passes for good.

Q2 - Favourite game from the Joypad library and why?

Aw man, hard choice! Such a large library and so many good games, but the one which will always rise to the top for me is Duck Hunt. There's something about beating your opponent controlling the ducks and getting one over on that dog that's just so satisfying haha!

Q3 - The strangest game you’ve ever played?

Definitely Naut by Titouan Millet. I have NO IDEA what's going on in the game at all.

Q4 - What’s your Break Glass In Emergency tune that always gets the crowd back on side?

'Once a New' for the catchy melody and pumping bassline. Also the drum solo for "da clapz".

Q5 - Persuade me to come see your set in six words.

Just another quick GIF-update on the Chrome Extension for ucollective - the glitch visualisation glitches in-time with the audio playing, also the images used for the glitch visual are randomly picked visual submissions from µCollective's users!

Probably not best for people with photosensitive epilepsy though, it can get pretty crazy :/

µCollective at SuperByte 2013

Ladies and gentlemen, we will be at SuperByte in only 4 days! ;o

We will be selling our merch from 12-6pm on Saturday and we also have a Tetris competition where you can win stuff ;)

In addition to selling merch, there will be an opportunity to get yourself into the 1st Birthday stream of µCollective - either just by talking to a camera or playing a song for us! So remember to pack your handheld music-making device of choice :P

Welcome to µCollective's Tumblr

Woo! We have Tumblr now :D Thanks to Troggs for suggesting we fork out to tumblr too, it's a great idea!

We're going to leave this blog open to submissions, so hopefully people can share and showcase chip-scene related work here and share with others :)

There will also be chances for blog editor roles in the future, so look out for those ;)
