#Eclipse2017 I have seen many beautiful pictures of the shadows during the eclipse. (It's what I remember most from the eclipse in San Francisco in 1991.) It was cool to see all the nurses and docs and social workers and everyone outside watching the moon swoosh past our sun... and I know they took as many kids outside to watch as possible. I took the photo of the eclipse here with my iPhone and just put the glasses over the lens. The picture of the flowers was during about 98% coverage when the sky was dusky and the wind picked up and the temperature dropped significantly. You could FEEL the eclipse in Denver almost more than you could see it. It was so fun to be outside with co-workers and it lifted all our spirits! Very proud of our HIV research team! We just won a national award at an international HIV research meeting! This means we were the highest enrolling research site in the US. And that means we beat out cities like Chicago, LA, Miami and NY! We do have a great team at #ChildrensHospitalColorado but honestly you can only get an award like this if you have amazing patients who are willing to sacrifice time, blood, tears, and take risks to study new treatments!
