It’s such a hard day for our good friends who had to say goodbye to their sweet son. I thought of them all morning and how sports is such a huge part of their lives. I woke up to these fun @phoebebarr photos! It's 国庆节 in China! (National Day) I love that Phoebe has a cuddly cousin pile to spend time with while she is over there being brave, learning a new language and diving into a culture that she alternatively finds baffling and beautiful. One of the younger cousins (who speaks pretty good English!) asked Phoebe where she was from. When Phoebe said "America", the little girl asked, "Do you like Trump?" Phoebe replied that she did not. I wish it wasn't this fucking hard to be a working artist- I hate the fact that I have to ask for money just to do what I have a college degree in- but it's the reality: there's just not enough funds out there to support new artists. And I know my feed is mostly made up of other struggling artists- so I know you get it- how hard it is to pay rent while trying to make a career in NYC (or LA or wherever you are) how hard it is to make art that you actually believe in. It's a fight every damn day. If you have time in your afternoon and room in your wallet to spare five bucks to help two young women make their first film together we would be so eternally grateful and we will make sure to hit you back when you need it.
