I made this zine a while ago about Chirognomy - Trying to learn more about product photography but I don't know nothin.
a (brief) introduction to palmistry.
i have received a lot of interest and questions regarding a post i made about craft-related symbols in palmistry, and decided to begin a series to (hopefully!) answer the questions that i’ve seen. thank you so much for your patience!
introduction: we do not hold only perfectly unique fingerprints- but our entire hand tells a story that is absolutely individualized.
palmistry is a practice, not a science. it is a form of divination. every palm is different, and learning what your palms say is up to yours and/or your readers interpretation.
in the same way that one astrologer, or card reader, can offer what feels like direct and personal insight, and another seems to be something out of a bad magazine- the accuracy of a palm reading will depend on who your reading is from, and how your reading is done. inaccurate readings do not negate the practice as a whole, they negate your experience with a reading or a reader.
i sometimes sense that people expect very defined meanings for a certain line or placement, but the truth is that every placement is affected by all of the others on the palm. in the same way that the meaning of one position on an astrological chart, or one card in a spread can carry different meanings depending the other positions or cards that are present.
all of this being said, i, personally, feel that someones hands, and how the hands behave, can provide significant knowledge and insight into where a person has been, who they are, and what their future could hold. i hope this series will inspire or encourage someone else to study this craft.
notes:
-chirognomy: the study of the size and shape of the hand and fingers -chiromancy: the interpretation of the lines on the hands.
-your hands and palms can, and often do, change over time; palmistry is not fortune telling, and it does not eliminate the changes that result from free will and action.
-this is the book that i recommend to everyone new to or interested in palmistry and reading palms. it offers a lot of information and insight into all elements of palm reading, from scientific and historical, to metaphysical and modern. i will be following a similar sequence of subjects from the book in this series. -a witch’s palm. -a (brief) introduction to palmistry. -which hand should i read?
These are the hand shape types from the Chirognomy zine I made - I'm aggressively a fire hand. Even got the pile of hand scars that is common with fire hands.
Divination: May 2021: Chirognomy (reading the shape and qualities of the hand).
The pal I was due to do this with had to rain check (ironically I didn’t see that coming) so I decided to continue with this month’s divination solo.
I can tell you that according to my guide I have an open (a balanced and open nature) earth hand, which means I’m a pragmatic fixer who likes routine and order. Check.
There’s a lot more to Chirognomy including the prominence of your mounts and the length of your fingers but I shall not bore you with my results.
I skipped taking fingerprints as I decided I didn’t want to look like a criminal for the rest of the week.

Review of Palmistry app
I’m a very spiritual person, what with being reiki-attuned, a certified crystal healer and with a recent fascination with the moon and astrology. My hunger for ‘deeper’ or ‘other level’ things is growing.
…which is why I was really excited to hear of this palm reading app.

If you don’t know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior you can receive Him into your heart and He can deliver you from darkness and sin and have your name written in His Book of Life. If you are sincere you can say this simple prayer to the Father (it doesn’t have to be word for word): “God, I recognize that I have not lived my life for You up until now. I have been living for myself and that…
