84th Annual Academy Awards Part 1
How would I describe this years Oscars: tired, boring and completely lackluster. And I am talking about the fashion as well. What happened to 'red carpet moments', everyone is so damn safe and boring it makes watching boring. And Billy Crystal, how stayed and boring (I literally predicted the opening the night before...themoneybeets can vouch for that). But I did love that Artist won, and Jean Durjardin is adorable.

Meryl came in gold to collect the prize. And she looks fabulous I must say. Particularly after the fashion messes that she's worn. The only issue I have with the dress is the fabric, it's a little garish for so much look. But Meryl is Meryl and she will do what she want. BTW is The Iron Lady any good? It looks as camp as hell to me, I need to know.

Why did she wear that jacket? It's so Mother of Bride it hurts, but I suppose it's too much to expect Zac Posen to make a flattering gown. It's just not a great look. She should have gone a more Tilda route and had the jacked closed. Something.

I don't know what I hate more: the dress or Marchesa. Marchesa always wins. This is an ugly dress, in an ugly colour on a flash in the pan. It sort of fits since both are so utterly replaceable. And I'm glad George lost, couldn't have happened to a nicer person (and by nice I mean smug)

Mutton dressed as lamb! What has happened to J.Lo? When did she stop emulating Liz Taylor and start dressing like a Real Housewife? This is so desperate it hurts. We know your hot, but in these gowns it makes you look tacky. Go back to the Chanel and Valentino and leave Zuhair Murad (my other mortal enemy) alone.
