Aiemann Zahabi takes SD over Chito Vera

Zahabi continues his run of getting badly hurt by an old fighter, but winning close decisions anyway. Zahabi just outworked Vera. It was competitive early with Vera using kicks to try to quick start his own offense. Was on the front foot but the second that Zahabi started putting combos together, Vera was on the back foot. He managed to drop Zahabi with a jab in the 2nd round but didn't do anything with him. Just stalked Zahabi for 3 minutes while he recovered and finished the round strong. Zahabi realized if he pressured, there was nothing Vera would offer back in return and took the third convincingly.

There's an argument for a round 1 & 2 to Vera but dude, come on. You're dropping decision after decision for inactivity and this is the most you can offer? Can't be mad you lose a decision to someone willing to just work harder.

I don't think Zahabi is a real contender and I'm upset the Zahabi name is back in championship talks, but can't argue with Aiemann's heart. Guy understands his winning condition and fights tooth and nail to get the fight to where it needs to be for him to win.
