Q: 🤍 when did you first realize you were in love with s/i?
A: I tried to deny my growing affection for Aurita, I truly did. But the straw that broke the Nruff's back? That would be the day my mask broke in front of her for the first time. She didn't make fun of me. She didn't infantilise me in any way. Instead, her first course of action was to create a bright flash of light, dazzling our adversaries and buying her time to evacuate me from the battlefield.
At first, I was in two minds about the situation. One part of myself felt a great shame that I was unable to perform at my best for Aurita. But another part proved to outweigh it. The fact that Aurita saw me at my most vulnerable, and it didn't change her perspective of me... As she returned me to the Halberd, severed mask in her feelers, and asked me if I was alright, the truth I had evaded stared me in the face.
I was in love with her.
Q: 🖤 how do the two of you celebrate holidays or birthdays together?
A: Last year, the Halberd's crew and I made Aurita a cake for her birthday. I'll never forget the light in her eyes when we peeled back the cloth and revealed it to her. Ultimately, we decided to share it amongst the crew. It's since become a birthday tradition for her, doubtless because she loves the idea of her colleagues and friends being a part of her most special day.
Q: 💜 what is something you would like to say to s/i right now?
A: "I know things may be difficult for you at the moment, Aurita, but truth is:
"You are a warrior. You have suffered greater pain and torment before and survived. In fact, my love, you are far stronger than you give yourself credit for.
"If, however, you still need another shoulder to bear your burdens... then, on my honour as a Meta-Knight, I'll be here for as long as you need me. We shall face your demons together."
META KNIGHT!!!! if you get a break from answering asks, what kind of DATE would you plan?
Good question. I've been concerned about Aurita, and I think getting away from the Halberd for a while will do her some good, so...
Perhaps an excursion to see the Dream Parade at Wondaria? Leon and company shouldn't cause too much trouble... I am convinced of one thing, though: the light Rita bears may well outshine the lights of the park.
Meta Knight! Everyone knows that you’re the strongest masked swordsman this side of Dream Land, but does Aurita ever fight alongside you? If she’s not really the type, what other sorts of activities do the two of you like to do with each other instead?
Aurita is indeed a capable fighter in her own right. She can extend her feelers to great lengths: useful for keeping an opponent immobilised, shutting down their projectiles or pulling them towards you. She can also temporarily stun an opponent with her bioluminescent light, although pushing that ability beyond its limits will wear her out. When we fight side-by-side, she tends to prefer a support approach, standing ready to cover my weaknesses and exploit those of our rivals.
...We make a great team.
Hey Meta Knight, do you have anything you plan on giving Eden for her birthday?
Aurita didn't ask for much this year, and I don't consider myself a good gift-giver. However...
I talked it over with the rest of the crew, including the Meta-Knights... and we're going to work together to bake her a delicious cake. After all, her talent for baking has not gone unnoticed. I think it would be nice to leave it to someone else for a change. Axe Knight even agreed to create a replica model for her to display in her room.
Whether it turns out like we hoped or not, I hope our cake communicates our appreciation for everything she does for us.

Q6: What made you head over heels for s/i? What lit that spark for you?
A: "It was partially down to me being impressed by Aurita's skill in battle, I won't deny that. But the definitive reason I developed feelings for her was how tolerant she was. She's seen sides of me that I dread showing to anyone else, and yet her opinion of me has never wavered. Her ability to give almost everyone the benefit of the doubt might get her into trouble sometimes, and yet it's something I admire about her.
"I can trust her to guard my secrets with her life, knowing that she'll always be a stalwart ally and partner."
Q10: What’s your favorite thing about s/i? Like in general.
A: "Her strong inner core and perseverence. In her career as an engineer for the Halberd, Aurita has undertaken a myriad of repair and upgrade projects. But no matter what the task at hand may entail, no matter how it may challenge her, she'll do her best to see it through to the end. And while she may find it difficult to ask for help, I've seen first-hand how her determination influences the rest of the crew. I struggle to imagine the effect her absence would have on them..."

Q12: What’s something about s/i that you always notice but not many others pay much attention to?
A: "Aurita often reaches for a glass of water after a long day of maintenance. I'm sure her colleagues appreciate how aware she is of the need to stay hydrated. However, they probably don't notice where her gaze turns when she drinks; into the glass.
"It's a small quirk but I think it reflects her capacity for focus. After all, obviously one would need that in order to undertake major engineering work."
Q22: What’s your favorite thing to do with s/i?
A: "The two of us spar whenever the opportunity presents itself. Unsurprising, I know, but what kind of couple would we be if we didn't strive to understand our respective strengths and weaknesses? For instance, Aurita's feelers may appear delicate, but they can pack a considerable punch. They can also extend to such a length that she regularly attempts to steal Galaxia from my grip!
"How foolish. If she'd been paying attention to a certain incident in the Colosseum (which I don't like to talk about), she'd know I have a contingency plan. Unless, that is, she has a plan to use it to her advantage...!
"Perhaps I am the foolish one for not considering this until now. My thanks - you have given me much to consider for our next battle."
Q28: If you had to associate s/i with an animal, what would it be?
A: "Aurita's feelers, as well as her emotional bioluminescence, call to mind the jellyfish. Other than the obvious, however, the care and attention she dedicates to maintaining the Halberd is almost beaver-esque. She works tirelessly to keep the ship in prime condition, and I cannot thank her enough for that."
On top of keeping the Halberd in ship shape, Rita has learned to make chocolate cake just the way Meta likes it. When off duty, she’s occasionally spotted hovering about the mess hall’s oven muttering something about “[hoping she’s] done it right...” Luckily for Meta, no one seems to have put two and two together. (Or, at least, no one’s done so out loud!)
Such behaviour seems to coincide with a bad day for Meta. Comfort food might not fix everything right away, but it’s a little gesture of how much Rita cares which he deeply appreciates.
