So while completely understanding that anti-Semitism is a threat and a grave concern, it's important to note that people are trying to conflate criticism of the Israeli government with anti-Semitism and that's also incredibly wrong.

I mean, considering most non-Jewish people’s criticisms of Israel are often laced with anti-Semitism or are used as an excuse to be rampantly anti-Semitic while hiding behind “no I’m just criticizing Israel uwu”, I’m not super concerned about that tbh

Especially when I didn’t reblog anything to do with Israel today. I reblogged a few posts about anti-Semitism. I think it’s pretty case in point that people like to use criticisms of Israel as a silencing tactic.

It's really disgusting how vehemently defensive the neoliberal side of Tumblr gets. "No, don't you dare mock [insert white female leader]. You're hurting my qween". Ughh

they literally think its about individual people’s feelings instead of entire economies and systems of government and the centuries of history they’re built on. like.... they think a criticism of the monarchy is an attack on elizabeth windsor the woman on a personal level and not the figurehead of an entire global behemoth of a world power.  people respond to criticism of british imperialism, which allows the queen to live a life of luxurious royalty, with lines like “umm shes just a little old lady who loves corgis and worked on motors during ww2, why are you being so mean? she never asked to be queen you know!!!” and thats..... just...... SO...... not what any of this is about....???? ugh ugh ugh its like you can never criticize a system that allows an individual to benefit from the disadvantage of another individual without your criticism of the system looking like a personal attack on whoever happens to be on the winning end of the system :/

Okay real talk. If Bernie runs again, I want all of him. I want him to fight for the Democratic nomination like hell. He ran a gentleman's campaign against Hillary who pulled all the stops to smear him. One idea I heard that's really great is he should have just gone to the debate stage with a suitcase filled with $225k and just slammed it on the podium and demanded to hear one of her speech. I love the guy but man, he could have fought her stronger.

yeah he was trying so hard not to pull too hard of punches but FUCK she deserved it.... also he should have criticized her more on things that the right would look hypocritical for adopting too, if the fear was republicans repeating attacks from the democratic primary. but tbh i think he gave it away when he said he would support whoever the democratic nominee was, bc that just gave the dnc permission to derail him at every turn

Bernie helped #NoDAPL. Jill Stein and Ajamu Baraka have arrest warrants for the activism against #NoDAPL. The standard bearer of the Democrats has jack shit lol. This needs to be drilled into the head of every liberal and white feminist when they want to come for actual progressives

It was only when Obama finally said no, after months of protest, struggle, and and Native American women being subject to the worst police brutality of the year, did Democrats wanna stand up. After the work had been done. Donna Brazile even tried to use #NoDAPL to fundraise for the DNC. Fucking despicable.

Now, the neoliberal elites are trapped between a rock and a hard place with #NoDAPL and #NoKeystoneXL. Do the oppose Trump and the pipelines, or risk seeming like republicans and work with Trump to approve them?

I’ll be watching closely. I hope everyone else will be too

🥰🥰🥰 Wasn’t he good?! I was so happy to see he had so many great scenes with Tim-Tam; now I get why they both couldn’t shut up about how much they liked working together. I was particularly 😭 over the scene on the ship where he says “you’ve become a good king” or whatever because I couldn’t help seeing it a little bit as, like, the acclaimed veteran actor praising the talented new kid. (And then everything went, well, y’know. But still!)
