You may have noticed that I never posted an announcement about Chlodine Week for 2025. Unfortunately, this year has been very tough. I spent most of the early summer looking for a job, and the last several weeks getting used to a new one. By the time August rolled around, there just wasn’t enough time to reasonably expect anyone to participate, even if I came up with ideas.
I’m not ruling out the possibility for Chlodine Week in 2026, but it definitely wasn’t going to work out this year. I apologize about that. Maybe instead of art, fics, or edits, tell me your favorite thing about Chlodine. Or your fondest memories of being in the fandom. Replay the game and post some pics.
Anyway, at the very least, I’m not letting you all forget that Friday is the 8th anniversary of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy! It’s almost a decade old now (holy fucking crap). So on August 22, go celebrate in your own way. And tell me why you still love it, if you’d like!
"This is going great!" "At least it's not pouring rain!"
Chlodineweek Day 1: "First Impressions"
Although they've clearly heard rumors or tales about one another before the events of the game, Nadine and Chloe's first meeting is in an atmosphere of violence and chaos. Even if they weren't canonically setting fire to and then escaping from a tall building the theme of sudden shock and change that the Tower brings to a reading would fit so well.
Nadine has already dealt with a life-upending change in losing Shoreline prior to the events of the game. Chloe's role is almost like a catalyst in doing the same to Asav by stealing the Hoysala disc and making his plan that much harder.
Maybe Chloe, with her gift for thinking on her feet, wouldn't be fazed by recieving the Tower in a reading?
I won't say I'm inspired by the Rider-Waite card as much as I'm stealing its entire composition here. It has flaws but I'm glad I pushed through when I'm so intimidated by coloring and details.
Didn't finish Day 5, but it will be posted eventually because I am OBSESSED with this concept. But after fighting with ideas, for Chlodine Week Day 5 AU I decided on
Bound (1996).
Chloe Frazer, ex con, thief, grease monkey, well known to the ladies who keeps lock picks as earrings; Nadine Ross involved in organized crime mostly against her will, sleeping with men as "work". The two fuck over an unhinged criminal and run away together with the cash? Um yes please.
Also featuring Rafe as Johnny, Asav as Caesar and Sully as Mickey.
This little comic falls into the Humor / Banter theme for the 20th. I'm 2 days late 😥.
Potholes have evolved into water pits of doom 😓 so I thought it'd be humorous to have Chloe walk into one and then pull Nadine into too, so there are both soaked.
Special thanks to everyone who popped into my streams while I brought this comic to life. Thank you NylaDragonzAlt & TheNewChiefScientist for your suggestions, it really added to the humor.
Most of all thank you to @chlodineweek for organising this every year for us 🙏🙏🙏
Please excuse the low quality, the idea arrived at minute 99 😭😭😭 again and I'm rather disappointed in the result.
Summary: Nadine meets Elena. Nadine meets Nathan’s BBQ rib recipe. Chloe and Elena both meet rib-devourer Nadine.
Read below or on my AO3 here!
Nadine is a sight. Teeth bared, lips marred, and tinted red with grease.
God. And Chloe can’t remember a time she’s stared hard enough to burn a hole into the fabric of space and time yet she is certainly doing so now.
She did not expect being invited to the annual Drake Family Barbecue July 4th Cookout to elicit such a discovery—a deeply evoked, bone-vibrating yearning. How she continues to watch Nadine from afar as her ever-professional and presentable military girlfriend bites and rips into a slab of ribs like a vicious, starving thing can only be described as such.
Chloe stands in place with her food-stacked plate as she watches, helplessly, enthralled as Nadine wipes at her scarred chin with the back of one hand, her cheeks bulging with marinated pork as they stretch to accommodate her bubbly laugh at whatever cute baby thing Cassie says to her.
“Stop having dirty thoughts and eat your food, Chloe. You know Sam won't save any for the rest of us.”
“Think I’d rather be eaten than eating right now, Love.”
Elena cocks a brow but ultimately follows Chloe’s gaze as a question instead.
Nadine sucks another grease-soaked knuckle with a subtle pop, humming around it before she sticks the whole rib bone in her mouth and chews on it carnally, sucking it as she rocks it between her teeth. Her nose scrunches in a canine snarl at a particularly tough bit which ceases to surrender easily. She gives it a quick appraisal of satisfactory doneness and picks up another to begin again.
“Oh god…”
“Hmm. Yeah. Ok, I see the appeal.”
“I’ve never wanted to be a piece of meat so badly.”
“Honestly? Me too…”
Chloe’s eye quirks.
“Listen here, Sunshine. I let you steal my boyfriend off me once upon a time. I’ll not be letting you steal my girlfriend away as well.”
Elena gestures surrender and they snicker together, bumping their shoulders against one another. The tease fades into a warm silence as they jostle over and join the others at the table.
Chloe lightly raps on the brim of Nadine's favorite ball cap as she lowers herself in to sit close. As a drab, military green piece well-worn with fraying edges, oil stains, and quite possibly bloodstains faded into the fabric, heavy with the stench of gunpowder, it was ugly and tacky by Chloe's standard (the standard being “No ball caps at all--ever!”) Yet, she is charmed Nadine even has a favorite ball cap in the first place, and looks so good in it to boot. It fits her perfectly.
“Easy there, Tiger. The thing's already dead, yeah?”
Nadine hums in agreement, using the back of a non-sauce-sullied wrist to tip her cap back into its comfortable position.
“It is very dead and very tasty.”
“Well then, you'll be pleased to know your wonderful girlfriend tactically secured the last mango-glazed one for you. Here you are.”
Chloe gifts said rib into Nadine’s waiting, glistening fingers.
“Not sure why you'd use tact on barbecued meat and not when we’re in combat but I'm thankful nonetheless.”
Chloe glares through Nadine’s brisk, greasy kiss to her cheek, which, in the end, easily melts into a rakish look.
“Hey, that's not fair! I was eyeing that one!”
For once, Nathan is the first to shush his brother.
“Oh shut it, Sam! So whaddya say, Nadine? First impressions on the legendary Drake Barbecue Bonanza?”
For several moments Nadine’s only answer is an uneasy grimace. She chews once in idle anxiousness then sequesters judgment as the taste of perfectly marinated and smoked pork pools inside her mouth.
“The name certainly needs some work but…the cooking does not.”
In triumph, Nathan fist-pumps (or more accurately, rib-pumps) his arm in the air knocking over a jar of barbecue bonanza sauce right into Cassie’s little highchair-bound lap. Her parents scramble immediately with reflexes fast enough to only be gifted unto parents of a newborn.
“Oh crap!”
“This is going to take forever to wash out…I might just toss it,” Elena groans as she strips the stained baby-blue onesie down, tossing it onto the grass.
After an appropriate moment of genuine concern, Nadine makes a suggestion.
“Bummer. Looks like you’ll have to make some more, and give me the recipe while you do.”
Nathan laughs good-naturedly as he simultaneously bounces a diaper-clad Cassie in his lap and reaches over to shake Nadine’s hand, their fingers squelching with grease in a way that makes Chloe want to vomit.
