Costume Designer
Inspired after I read the movie companions for the first two Narnia films
Marinette gets the job of a lifetime working on costumes for the upcoming movie, The Silver Chair.
It is hard work with little sleep, especially for a heroine. So good thing it is taking place during the school holidays.
Marinette travels all over the world, truthfully telling her disappointed friends that she is working while on vacation.
Alya: don’t you think you should chill for a while? You look like you missed a whole week of sleep!
Well, she does have to help make thousands of costumes, so no. This is why Marinette’s best friend at work is the coffee machine.
Marinette makes a good impression on the costume team, including head designer Isis Mussenden. She even got to be the one to work with Ben Henders, the very cute actor playing Prince Rilian.
When Marinette returns to Paris, she does not brag about her job, only mentioning how satisfied she was that the costumes were without flaw and she had met the quota.
After one or two years, The Silver Chair is about to be released.
Chloe brags about getting to sit at the premiere viewing thanks to her world-renown mother.
Lila gushes about how the stars of the movie are like family who had asked her to play Jill Pole but she had to decline since she had already made a commitment to save endangered penguins up in the frigid north. However she will still get to sit at the premiere.
Marinette: penguins live in the Antarctic!
Nino is a huge fan of the Narnia chronicles and even buys the movie companion book to learn about the film making process. It is how he learns about Marinette’s job.
Because at the costume design section, Isis praises Marinette and there is even a picture of Marinette helping Ben into his knight suit.
Realizing Marinette had actually been on the set, Nino wondered why she never told them about it.
Ok, maybe he can understand considering that they might have pestered for her information about the movie the way they asked Lila.
Hang on, Marinette will probably be at the premiere.
Maybe once she sees that Lila was there herself, she will finally believe their newest classmate.
But in the meantime, he can respect her wishes and let her secret remain, at least till premiere day.
At the premiere, Chloé was surprised to see Dupain-Cheng. Immediately she began mocking her, asking if she was there as a waiter again.
However, the cast and crew (seeing Marinette as part of their second family) defend her from this rich brat, praising Marinette for being a talented designer and even bringing them homemade pastries that were to die for.
Audrey could see the odds were in Marinette’s favor, and that Chloe was an unwanted blot in the party.
As the director begins to ask Chloe to leave, Audrey swoops in. “You’ll have to excuse my daughter. She gets jealous whenever she sees Marinette’s exceptional talent.”
Chloe: mother!
Audrey: marvellous job, Marinette, as always.
Chloe: mother, you can’t be serious! She’s just a baker girl.
Audrey: who is renown for her talent. What are you famous for, Claudette?
Sensing danger, Chloe flushed and stalks away, trying to hide her tears.
To make herself feel better, she has to make others feel worse. Dupain-Cheng is surrounded by the crew so no hopes of sneaking over, especially when she won’t be welcome.
Hmm, what about that Lila girl?
Somehow Marinette always got the short end of the stick whenever they were together.
She headed over to the director. “You, where is Lila Rossi.”
Andrew Adamson scowled at Chloe. “Am I supposed to know who that is?”
Chloe ignored the cameras recording her bratty behavior. “Well, duh. She’s the one you wanted to play Joan Pill instead of that creature,” she waved her hand at the young lead actress.
Andrew’s scowl deepened. “I think you meant to say Jill Pole. And I don’t know any Lila Rossi, but if she is friends with you, I’m glad not to have been introduced. Good day.”
Chloe gaped, then rounded on Marinette. “Dupain-Cheng, explain yourself this instant.”
“What is there to explain, Chloe? I’ve been telling everyone for months that Lila’s been lying about her celebrity connections.
Chloe gasped then rounded on Ben Henders. “You, do you know a Lila Rossi?”
Ben: no.
Meanwhile, back in Paris….
Class are watching videos about the premiere (some official and some leaked), and are shocked. Lila had lied to them?
That kind of put a damper to their happy surprise about Marinette being one of the costume designers.
Lila’s phone was bombarded with texts demanding explanations.
Squealing, she immediately switched her phone off and tried to think of a suitable lie.
….💡
Lila said she was friends with the director of Narnia, but she never said his name. There have been more than one media series of Narnia. She can use that to excuse Andrew’s ignorance of her name.
As for Ben Henders…that was more tricky. She had claimed to the girls to be good friends with the actor, talking about the very movie itself. Hmm, maybe she can attribute his denial to Chloe’s abrupt and rude attitude?
Satisfied, Lila turned her phone back on, only to pale at what she saw. Since she took so long to reply, the others had done their own research and were now calling her fraud, that she now owed their money back (as if!), etc.
At the premiere, Chloe felt humiliated and overshadowed as all the celebrities ignored her.
At the Rossi residence, Lila began pleading to her mother that they should move because she was being bullied by the very same people who had sent Mrs Rossi video interviews of her contrasting opinions of Ladybug and demanding their money to be returned.
Galette is meant to be shared
Andre mournfully walked back to his limo, where his impatient daughter glared at his empty hands.
Chloé: what’s the point in being mayor if your own subjects don’t respect your wishes? Ridiculous, utterly ridiculous.
Andre: forgive me, Chloé. But there are other bakeries in the city.
Chloé: none of them are the best. Anybody who’s anybody is eating a galette made by Dupain-Cheng. XY, Clara, Prince Ali….I refuse to be the exception.
Except it seemed that pretty much all the galettes Chloé coveted were already eaten (by Tikki)
Father and daughter entered the hotel in a dismal mood.
Audrey was already complaining when they crossed the threshold, not noticing their empty hands. “I don’t know about having galette. They leave such a mess.”
Chloé’s mood brightened. “You’re right mother. We don’t need a galette like everybody else does. The Bourgeois are not trend followers, they’re trend setters.
Audrey: exactly. I’d rather have a mousse today. Jean-Pierre!
Andre sighed.
Zoe: actually I bought a galette early this morning, if you would like some. I had prepaid and reserved one in advance just in case.
Chloe: haven’t you learned anything. Anything baked by a Dupain-Cheng is trash.
Andre gaped at his daughter.
Perhaps it was a combination of sympathy for Zoe and frustration with Chloe’s ingratitude, but Andre declared, “I’ll eat it with you, Zoe.” Then to prevent another outburst. “As mayor, I have to be seen celebrating this day.”
Chloé started to yell, “Ridiculous-“
“Chloé, quit yelling,” Audrey snapped. “I refuse to have my holiday ruined by you. Galette, mousse, just pick one and shut up.”
Chloe shut up her mouth, scowling at Zoe, who smiled weakly.
So while Andre and Zoe retired to her room to share the galette, happy to enjoy their holiday without any more fussy demands or cruel words, Audrey and Chloe dined on their mousse in tranquil silence.
Salem witches
Let’s face it, all Lila, Chloe (and Sabrina) by extension, get to punish people they don’t like by making up fake sob stories.
Originally, they targeted Marinette who got expelled on false charges of bullying.
But once Marinette was gone, Lila didn’t want her feeling of power to fade. People had pampered the poor bullied girl.
Knowing accusing Chloe was a pointless endeavour, Lila chose a new target. The loyal Ladyblogger who keeps trying to find a way to prove Marinette’s innocence.
Alya was a useful follower but she had to go before Lila was exposed.
Lila accused Alya of sneaking into her house to find evidence. Chloe joined in and she reminded the principal how Alya had picked open her locker (lies)
Point is, Alya got suspended...again.
But now she knows Lila is a liar and tells the class.
The class is split. They don’t know who to believe.
Lila then begins to accuse those on Team Alya, starting with Nino.
Adrien is a special case, like Alya, he wants to prove Marinette’s innocence. The problem is that Chloe keeps using their friendship against him and hampering his efforts to persuade the Teachers.
To go after Adrien is not what the Dupont witches want.
Even after Adrien admits Lila is a liar, her hold on the class has grown. People question why he waited till now to tell them and did he have any proof?
Adrien is promptly recalled home after his Teachers report his troublesome attitude to Nathalie.
As Lila accuses her classmates, chaos erupts. Students are not sure who to trust anymore.
Sure some have caught on to the fact that Lila is a liar, but that just puts them in her targeting range.
It doesn’t matter if the student body now knows the truth, Lila has the prosecutors’ (ahem teachers) ear.
Seriously...they have lousy investigative instincts.
Pretty much, more than half of Bustier’s class has been expelled or suspended on outrageous false charges.
Lila had claimed that they were bullying her because they blamed her for Marinette’s expulsion.
Gabriel was on a business trip at this time and was regretting this sudden fountain of negative emotion occurring and he couldn’t do a thing about it.
Mayura was forbidden to do anything.
Chloe was furious about Adrien’s absence and blamed Lila for this, calling her a whiny bigmouth. She starts to bully Lila.
Lila reports Chloe but as expected, Chloe gets away with it. Lila may have the Teachers’ ears, but they are all in Chloe’s pocket.
In their feud, this allows time for the students to recover from Lila’s accusations and to regather and seek proper evidence.
By this time, the rest of the Teachers have realized the truth and urged Caline and Damocles to consider that Lila is a liar.
Not to mention that outraged parents have gone to the school board to demand justice. They had tried to plead with the principal to give their children a fair trial, but he was usually unavailable on the phone, mostly because he was outside doing community service.
To speed up the process, Nadja may have reported the incident. It’s hard to miss a crowd of parents entering the school board office.
In her interview, they reported how the school blindly believes liars, allows bullies like Chloe free reign, and never investigate accusations properly.
Of course the school board goes in to check. Mrs Rossi is finally called in. When Lila claims she is telling the truth, Marinette calls out her lying disabilities and Achu travels.
Mrs Rossi: excuse me?
Lila is so busted. Especially when Max’s mom points out they could have used school cameras to freaking check the scenes of crime.
Again...busted.
The principal and Bustier are called out for blindly believing Lila and letting Chloe bully everyone. Their flimsy excuses are dismissed. They are put on probation until everything has been properly settled.
Marinette and the rest of the expelled students are called back in. Adrien is allowed to go back to school once the school board calls Nathalie and explains the misunderstanding. Lila is expelled. So is Chloe for that matter.
When the mayor threatens the school board, they threaten to go to the president! After all, I’m sure he would be intrigued by this school scandal which has made the news coverage!
Mayor: um...never mind....
Audrey critiques her husband’s cowardice but he also meekly reminds her that Chloe’s bullying have brought her into the hot seat as well.
Let it go
Marinette has had enough of Ms Bustier’s better example, of Adrien’s high road, and everyone else’s nonsense. She had been pushed to the breaking point and had snapped. It pretty much happened when planning for a skip trip, Lila had suggested a resort recommended to her by a famous skier she knows, and Chloe had insisted that they go someplace high class. Marinette is frustrated because it would mean the large pile of paperwork she had recently completed would be for nothing and too much fundraisers (that Chloe would not even help out with) just to meet the drama queen’s standards.
Marinette stands up to Lila, calling her out for her lies. She also protests when Ms Bustier does nothing regarding Chloe’s lack of effort in school work. This results in her classmates shunning her and replacing her with Lila as class president, though Adrien still tries to be her Friend even if Marinette refuses to listen to his advice.
“A kingdom of isolation, and it looks like I’m the Queen.
Despite what Marinette has done for the class, despite how she thought they were friends, they had completely abandoned her and refused to give her the benefit of the doubt.
“Be the good girl you always have to be.”
Well, now that she was no longer class president, now that she had no more friends, Marinette no longer had to please others for their sake. Especially since they weren’t really her friends if they just turned on her like that.
“It’s funny how some distance makes everything seem small.”
Without friends and class rep duties, Marinette has more time to truly let her creativity flow and soon her business begins to boom, especially once Jagged hears about it.
Soon even Ladybug is seen wearing her accessories in winter.
“It’s time to see what I can do, to test my limits and break through.”
Meanwhile, Lila dumped her responsibilities on Alya, who is super stressed that by the time they manage to get enough money, the ski resort Lila recommended is already fully booked. They end up having to go a normal ski resort. The mayor had only donated enough money so that his Daughter could be treated like a princess.
While the class goes on their field trip, Adrien is not allowed to attend and Marinette goes on a joint tour with Jagged and Clara as their stylist. Along the way, her fame grows and she even attends celebrity shows and galas.
When Adrien mopes about missing all the fun, Nathalie informs him it was a good thing he didn’t attend because the ski resort his class has settled in is currently in a snowstorm. By the time the storm would be over, the resort would be buried. Between all that and the time it would take to shovel out of the resort, the class won’t get to ski at all and only Chloe is able to take full advantage of the indoor facilities.
Adrien: yikes!
At the end of the ski trip, Marinette returns to Paris too, and is interviewed by Nadja because she is now a well-known designer. Marinette admits she has more free time now ever since Lila became the class president. Marinette mentions that Lila claims to have saved Jagged’s kitten, is friends with Ali and is even Ladybug’s BFF. But Marinette doesn’t know whether that could be true or not. The interview moves on, but Nadja is interrupted by a FaceTime from Jagged claiming he has never owned a kitten and that his beloved Niece should take what that boastful liar said with a lot of salt.
The next morning, Prince Ali’s manager makes a public statement denouncing Lila’s claim.
When class begins, Ms Bustier is noticeably stressed because for some reason, the school board had been conducting inspections and found her inefficient and incompetent. (They did so on Ladybug’s expressed concern of the akuma class.) the final nail was the disastrous field trip because she didn’t help Alya plan. Ms Bustier is currently on probation and thin ice.
The classmates gang up on Lila for her lies and because they were feeling sullen about the lousy ski trip, what a waste of time! Ms Bustier tries to stop them but is uncertain what is the right course of action.
To be honest, Lila was going to skip school as soon she saw Jagged exposing her on the news. But Marinette’s interview had sparked unwanted interest in Lila and Mrs Rossi had been notified of it. The principal and school board actually called her hotline to check on Lila’s disabilities and, in the process, her truancy is exposed. Lila is forced to attend the rest of the school year and will be repeating the grade. She is also given detention until the end of the year.
“Here I stand in the light of day!”
The class tirade is interrupted when Marinette herself struts in, dazzling in a new outfit of her own design. She pauses, takes in the scene. The classroom is in chaos. Rose is crying. Alya’s face is blotchy with rage. Adrien is failing to keep the peace. Chloe is absent for some reason (ahem she’s suspended for bullying. She got the news on the ski trip and had sulked in silence in the sauna) Lila is cowering against an angry mob. Ms Bustier looks near tears and her hair is a mess.
As one, the class takes in Marinette. Cool and regal as an ice queen as she stares at them, unaffected. They all know she had a glorious tour with celebrities, that she had finally made it big.
Then with a toss of her hair, Marinette heads out the door with a “I’m going to get help” to her once favourite teacher.
The door slams behind her.
“The cold never bothered me anyway.”
The class realizes their mistake. They had been manipulated and pushed away a good Friend. Now Marinette was on top of the world, and had left them behind for good.
For the record, after the next akuma fight, Nadja manages to interview Ladybug about Lila, and Ladybug shrugs that she already told Lila to knock it off. Honestly she was disappointed that the Ladyblogger believed what some random stranger said about her.
The class tries to get Adrien to convince Marinette to forgive them since he is the only one who is still her Friend. They had tried to talk to her at first but felt intimidated and guilt-ridden. Adrien does make an effort to mend the bridge but Marinette firmly stops him because now she feels free and she has decided to let her so-called friends go for good. If they want to mend the bridge, they need to prove themselves and face her themselves, not send Adrien like a messenger boy and hope to forget all the old grievances. Marinette is done being the perfect girl (aka doormat.)
As Marinette thrives and makes new friends, Aurore replacing Alya as her BFF and the new fox miraculous wielder, the class truly feel the loss without Marinette. They find school life harder. Alya’s field trips weren’t as impressive (she became class president and made Sabrina her deputy), no more free pastries to brighten their morning, no free help in designing costumes and banners. Ms Bustier wasn’t a big help either. She had become such a wreck that she was soon replaced with a stern substitute.
Adrien remained a passive middle ground. He was still friends with everybody but he missed the old times when everyone was happier. The class weren’t happy he had let Lila manipulate them but didn’t want to ostracise another innocent Friend. He has decided not to push Marinette to forgive the class. It just isn’t in his nature to push, if it was, he would have taken a firmer stance against Chloe’s meanness and Lila’s deceit.

Adrien’s Christmas Carol
Where our Prince Sunshine is supposed to be Scrooge. Lol. I was surprised by what I came up with. Still I claim this as a draft because I’m not fully satisfied with the ending. I wanted to give it Adrienette but had to settle for Ladynoir. Oh yeah, this story happens before oniichan.
It was Christmas Eve and the class was holding an informal party at the park tomorrow.
The class is helping Marinette and Alya decorate the space. As usual, Adrien is held off by Chinese tution, Lila pretended to have a conference with Ali, and Chloe just can’t be bothered.
At Chinese tution, Master Fu asks Adrien to look after Wayzz while he goes to hidden locations to retrieve more secrets. Wayzz will be his guide should they need assistance.
Adrien is thrilled to be in the loop. He would have expected this to be Ladybug’s task.
Master Fu: Ladybug has proven her trustworthiness. Now it is time for you to prove yourself.
Adrien: I won’t let you down!
As Adrien prepared to get ready for bed, he had an unexpected visitor, Tikki.
Tikki: Adrien, why haven’t you told everyone the truth about Lila? She’s continuing to lie to your class.
Adrien: good evening, Tikki. Lila’s lies are harmless. She’s just boasting about connections she doesn’t have.
Tikki: she’s lying to your friends. She’s been insinuating that Ladybug is a lousy superhero for not capturing Hawkmoth already. She’s making false promises to your friends. And in case you haven’t noticed, she’s starting to badmouth Marinette to the class.
Adrien: that’s because Marinette keeps on trying to expose her lies.
Tikki: So why aren’t you helping her? Why are you just watching from the sidelines?
Adrien: it will only make matters worse if we make Lila angry enough to attract an akuma.
Tikki: and do Marinette’s feelings not matter? What about your class? Eventually Lila’s lies will be revealed. Do you think their outrage won’t attract an akuma? You are only enabling her behavior and letting her get worse.
Plagg floated by with his midnight snack. He decided to add his own input from listening to the class’ conversations with his keen hearing.
Plagg: I tried to tell him, Sugarcube. He’s got to stop letting people get away with this stuff. Adrien, your friends are already doubting your reliability.
Adrien: what do you mean, Plagg? It’s not my fault that I have a busy schedule.
Plagg: not about that. About having their backs in times of crisis. Chloe listens to you and tries to be nice for your sake. But you were all too happy to let her continue her mean streak after one party of forced niceties. Don’t think your friends didn’t notice you smiling at her attitude while she insulted their macaroons. Mylène was crying!
Adrien was stunned to realize how his actions must have looked to his friends.
Plagg: Marinette was one of your staunchest defenders. She puts up with Chloe partly for your sake. But now you don’t even have her back regarding Lila. Sooner or later, even she’s going to be tired of your laidback attitude.
Adrien felt teary-eyed. Wayzz noticed and offered his own piece of advice.
Wayzz: Adrien, you may not see anything wrong with your actions. But that’s understandable. You are new to the outside world and social interactions. But perhaps try to think of other perspectives.
What do you see in your future with regards to your friends’ perspectives?
Adrien’s tears fell at last.
He saw a future where all his friends have started to leave him out of their social circles. Interactions would be pleasant, but invitations would not be extended. He would only have Lila clinging to him for his fame, and Chloe sparing him in her bullying as usual.
Adrien: I see my friends leaving me behind with Chloe and Lila.
Wayzz: and would you be happy being friends just with them?
Adrien: No! Don’t get me wrong, Chloe’s my Friend but she’s horrible. And Lila is just fake. I don’t want my social circle to consist of just them!
Wayzz: but that is the sort of Friends your actions earn you. If you want nice and honest friends, you have to be honest, too.
Adrien sniffed. “I know. I understand that now.”
Tikki: good. Then please expose Lila as soon as possible. If I have to hear one more time about how she’s my Best Friend, I’m going to give her tooth decay. Well...Plagg will!
Plagg: aren’t you supposed to be the responsible one?
Tikki gives Plagg a scary look that promises cheese mould. Plagg wisely stuffs his mouth with cheese.
The next day, Adrien showed up at the Christmas party.
As usual, Chloe insults the decorations.
Adrien: that’s enough Chloe. If you think this party is lame, then why don’t you just leave?
Everyone oohs.
Chloe: Adrikins, how could you?
Adrien: I told you we would be friends only if you stayed nice. And you’ve been awful since your party. You haven’t changed at all. And I meant what I said. I don’t want to be friends with a bully.
And then he turns and walks away with a stunned Nino.
Chloe stammers and runs away. Hopefully she will think about her actions as her father lavishes presents on her.
Lila starts apologising for Ladybug’s absence.
Adrien: oh, right. Lila, I’ve been meaning to ask, when did you and Ladybug make up?
Alya: what do you mean?
Lila: oh, Adrien was present when Ladybug and I got into a huge fight over my safety and how I blabbed about being best friends with her.
Adrien: nooo, she tore into you for saying you were best friends and using her fame when she never even met you before.
Alya: So you and Ladybug were never even friends?
Lila: we are now! We made it up after I turned into Volpina.
Adrien: where’s your proof, if you don’t mind? I want my knowledge of Ladybug to be verified.
Alya flushes with shame at realising her own mistake.
Lila wildly thought of a reason. She held out her pendant. “See this? Ladybug gave it to me to help her fight Saptosis.”
Alya gapes at Lila, unable to believe the outrageous lies spewing from her mouth.
Nino frowns at Lila.
Adrien innocently says, “That just looks like the necklace you said you got from your Grandmother.”
Lila flounders as Alya spits at her, “You rotten liar. I can’t believe my blog’s credibility is ruined because of you (and my own naivety). Is anything you told us true?
Adrien: well, I’m sure you can ask Ladybug the next time an akuma attacks.
Marinette held up her phone. “And I actually do know Jagged Stone.”
Alya’s face crumbles. “So that’s how you knew the truth. I’m so sorry, Mari. I never should have doubted you.
Adrien: and I’m sorry for not standing up for you sooner. I knew what Chloe and Lila were like and i didn’t do anything about it. I’m sorry, everyone. I’ve been a rotten friend.
Ivan: if you’re a rotten friend, so were we. We believed Lila when she kept badmouthing Marinette. Sure we didn’t exclude Marinette, but we didn’t think to ask her for her side of things.
Marinette: and I forgive you all. We’re only human. We make mistakes all the time. What matters is what we do afterwards.
Nino: like apologize to those we’ve wronged.
And then he glared at Lila again
Lila huffed, “Like it’s my fault you’re gullible idiots.”
So there it was, her nice front finally removed to reveal the hidden backbone.
Rose: why do you have to be like this Lila? All you had to do was apologize and we all could have been friends again.
Lila: as if I want to be friends with losers like you. Why do you think I lied in the first place? I wanted you to do stuff for me.
And then they understood Lila’s reaction. Lila could have claimed regret for lying to make friends. But then she would have no more excuse to skip classes or ridiculous events like Ladybug fairs or planting trees. Why bother to pretend to be so sickeningly sweet to these morons?
When some looked ready to pounce on Lila, Marinette calmly said, “this is an event for friends, Lila. If you don’t want to be our Friend, please leave.”
Lila tossed her hair and left. She only came here to get close to Adrien. But now, she didn’t want to see that tattletale anymore.
Rose: wait...does this mean Lila wasn’t really in Achu this whole time? Then where was she?
Alya: I’ll investigate. It’s part of my job as Vice President anyway. Marinette deserves a break.
Everyone felt downhearted/angry by Lila’s betrayal, guilty for how they had treated Marinette, and just not in the partying mood.
Marinette: investigate tomorrow. Today is Christmas and we spent all this time preparing. It would be a shame to let it all go to waste. Come on everybody; let’s end Christmas on a happy note!
And the class let out a rousing cheer. They dove into the present exchange, snowball fights and roasting s’mores. For the record, Marinette got a lot of apology s’mores.
Tikki was very happy with her Christmas feast.
Wayzz and Plagg congratulated Adrien on a job well done.
Adrien: it was about time I did something. That’s why Master Fu asked me to look after Wayzz, isn’t it? So you could teach me.
Wayzz: no, he really did go on a secret mission. But Christmas has its share of miracles.
For the record, after Christmas, Lila was exposed by Alya to Mrs Rossi and the school faculty. She was promptly expelled.
Chloe could not be genuinely nice but she decided to learn from the phrase, “if you can’t say anything nice, say nothing at all.”
It was enough for Adrien to extend an olive branch. (Hey, it was progress.)
Master Fu was back with a dual lesson for the heroes. They were ready to be trusted with the next stage of their powers.
Chat extended his hand towards Ladybug. “Ready, Partner?”
Ladybug took it, having full trust in her partner. “Ready.”
Nursery rhyme akuma
This was a random idea but the ending made me feel uneasy and horrible because WARNING THIS IS A MEAN FIC. I mean sure, we’ve had fics where insults were thrown at Chloe and Lila. But these are still horrible insults to throw at people, especially since this is a kid’s show. I feel like Carly when she was reluctant to insult the girl dating Freddie.
Let’s just say a little girl was made fun of for rhyming like Clara does. Hawkmoth akumatizes her into forcing her victims to play out whatever nursery rhyme suits them.
When Nursery Rhyme crashes Dupont High School, students are suddenly forced to prance around in kiddie costumes.
Case in point:
Mary-nette finds her little lamb to be Tikki in a mini-sheep costume. This was really easy. Mary-nette would just find someplace to hide, and Tikki would be sure to follow.
Plagg is also stuck in his own mini sheep costume. The problem is that Adrien now has to find a master (principal), a dame (Ms Mendeliev), and a little boy who lives down the lane (Chris) and give them a bag of black wool.
Lila also happens to be running around, screaming in agony because her pants are on fire. No matter how much water she finds, the flames just reignite. The only way to stop the flames is to admit her lies. Go figure.
For the record, Lila is physically fine. Well, mostly. Her legs won’t be charred, but they are sunburned.
Pain can be a great motivator. Lila blurts out all her ugly lies. As soon as she finishes, her pants stop burning. Thankfully they are still in one piece, albeit blackened and smoking.
Lila tries to cover up her confession, but upon sensing the threat of returning flame, she frustratedly holds her tongue as other students rant at her.
Anyway, Ladybug holds off the akuma until a late Chat arrives and does a sneak attack.
The battle is over.
Lila tries to lie her way out of all this again, but Ladybug is right there to confirm they have never been friends.
Owlman has been stuck as a "wise old owl” who basically kept silent while listening to Lila blurt out the truth. Before the akuma was defeated, he “wisely” recorded her confession and sent the video to Mrs Rossi, along with an invitation to discuss her daughter’s truancy and bullying.
Lila got punished.
Meanwhile, Plagg and Tikki were wondering why the hell they got labelled as sheep.
Plagg: I could have been the cat jumping over the moon.
Tikki: Stompp and Barkk are not active though. Who would be the cow and dog of the nursery rhyme?
Plagg: Well, there’s Chloe and Lila. If you know what I mean.
Tikki: that’s not nice!
I agree with Tikki.
Bad blood
I was listening to the song and somehow I ended up with this draft.
Chloe had finally crossed the line. Bullying classmates was one thing, but siding with a known terrorist is another.
Chloe willingly stung and mind controlled the Parisians to serve her as the selfish queen.
Sure Ladybug and Chat Noir has won; but at a hefty cost. Their beloved mentor was gone.
It was no longer just about duty. This was personal.
You know it used to be mad love
Chloe had been one of Ladybug’s biggest fans, if you can ignore her akuma victims. Now because she felt entitled to the Bee Miraculous and gone fame/power-crazy, she betrayed her formal idol.
It’s so sad to think about the good times
Queen Bee had been a good hero, except for her need for attention and selfishness.
Seriously, all Chloe had to do was retire gracefully and Queen Bee’s reputation as a hero would have remained more or less intact.
Now Ladybug intended to tear that reputation down to the ground.
Band aids don’t fix bullet holes
Sure the mayor tried to cover for his Daughter, claiming she was a pawn. But security footage shows otherwise.
Let’s just say the president was all too willing to step in. He may not know Ladybug personally, but his niece is an avid supporter (I remember reading a fic where the president of France was Mari’s Uncle. Whether this Niece is Marinette or not, I leave up to you.)
Anyway, Chloe has been exposed as a willing ally of Hawkmoth.
You say sorry just for show
Chloe apologizes on TV but her pride and disdain ruins her performance.
Anyway, the president isn’t showing mercy. Chloe may be a minor, but she is still exiled from Paris. She clearly can’t be trusted in the city.
(Remember Malediktator? Karma!)
It kind of helps that Ladybug brings in all sorts of celebrities who agree to fight against Chloe’s case. She didn’t really even have to ask. No one likes being mind controlled.
Jagged Stone, Clara, Prince Ali, Nadja Chamack, etc.
Even the exposed heroes of Paris have made a final appearance to announce their retirement and joint agreement that Chloe needs to leave. Thanks to her, they and their families are in greater danger.
At least when new heroes come around, Hawkmoth will see there is no point stalking them in hopes of snatching a miraculous.
Chloe protests her sentence as utterly ridiculous.
Her parents send her to military school. While the mayor had tried to support his Daughter, Audrey had not appreciated being targeted by her own blood. Honestly, she should have left for New York earlier. Claudette was a lost cause.
Oh sure Hawkmoth made an appearance. But Antibug didn’t reappear. It was Maledictator.
And we also introduce the new Bee heroine at the same time.
Chloe is horrified at seeing her new replacement. She throws a huge tantrum but her Father sends her away.
While Paris celebrates the departure of Chloe, Ladybug and Chat Noir mourn the loss of their mentor, old team, and a former hero.
At school, even the former heroes are subdued in their celebrations. Ladybug had warned them to be careful as Hawkmoth would certainly try to target them. At least they got to leave behind a clean reputation.
Oh and btw, Lila totally tried to claim she was Rena Rouge and gain sympathy. Alya argues back that she so isn’t because while Volpina was more powerful than Rena Rouge, Hawkmoth would surely have given her a better upgrade than multiple illusions! At least Queen Wasp could sting people multiple times with indefinite paralysis.
Besides, Rena Rouge appeared when Lila was supposed to be in Achu. And Pegasus didn’t appear until much later.
Lila argues back. But the former heroes also know each other’s identities (Ladybug allowed it since they had to talk to someone for support) and they band together against Lila.
Lila finally backs down and admits she had really been at Achu. But now the class starts researching and realize she is nothing more than a liar.
Sadly Ms Bustier doesn’t want to cause another scene so soon. But at the class’ insistence, she promises to contact Mrs Rossi during work.
Lila got to her Mother first and claimed that the whole school had been akumatized once more and not to pick up her phone. She herself would head home.
What Lila forgot to recall was that the last time she told her Mother this lie, she claimed that the authorities were already made aware. Now Mrs Rossi warned her colleagues and the police were called.
Yeah; Long story short, Lila was in huge trouble for raising a false alarm. She was outed as a liar and expelled and fined.
