The fact that Aless was serious about the Ikea trip he had suggested had Chloe dreading their usual weekly get together. It wasn’t that she didn’t want to help him, it was that she hated Ikea. It was that she hated getting lost in a sea of furniture she couldn’t pronounce with no reasonable way out. It wasn’t even like she could ask an employee to help her find a specific item, because she could pronounce a single item in the store. Nothing about the store screamed ‘good time’ to her. Still, it was Aless asking, and she found it impossible to say no. She owed him after dragging him halfway down the coast, and then allowing him to adjacently stalk her ex who could certainly lay him out if she deemed fit. Chloe supposed she could stomach getting lost in an Ikea with him for a couple hours as a first step towards repayment. That didn’t mean she wouldn’t complain. Chloe landed three raps on the door of his place, waiting patiently for him to swing the door open for her. Sure enough, the door was opened in no time, and Chloe leaned into her hip, already ready to cause him trouble. “Firstly, I’m not going to Ikea if you’re buying Stella another piece of furniture. Secondly, Ikea has a website. I checked. We could stay here, drink, and buy whatever you’re looking for online instead. Seems much more efficient.” She paused for a moment, shifting back off of her hip. “Also, hello. How have you been? What’s new?” Chloe asked, shifting past him into his apartment.
