Why did she seem so familiar? Her eyes, most notably, were ones that Hank could remember as clear as day. He could trace the memory back to Kamski - his android looked like her, right? Bright blue eyes and silky blonde hair.

Connor had even referred to her as “pretty.”

Yes, how could he ever forget Chloe? Connor had (thankfully) spared her life during a cruel test of morals back before he had become deviant.

“Chloe, what are you doing here?” came Hank’s surprised outburst, and he found himself stumbling over his feet to get to her. “I know Kamski didn’t just set you free. Shit. Are you alright?”

Impossible. She’s too sweet and far too deserving. Denying her a hug would be a true crime.

What could they do? If he was being honest, a distraction would do him as much good as it would Chloe. Less time to think about Cole, less time to feel sorry for himself.
