Today's ballad is 'This Night Again' by Cho Hamun. It was released in 1987 from his 1st album...
I first discovered this song after watching a performance of Jang Donggun performing it.... It was a long time ago. I thought that it was an original of Donggun, especially since he's one of those talents that can sing, and have released some collaborative music. But I was shocked to see that it was only a cover!
I've always loved Donggun's prince-like appearance. He is really handsome, and for him to cover this beautiful song just seems like he stepped right out of a fairy tale! But this ballad is rather about the sorrow and pain caused by a former lover, with a sense of regret and longing for what it once was. It's very emotional. But the ballad was very popular during this time, a famous ballad of the late 80s. I really love this song, even both versions, but Hamun's original with raw emotion in his mellow voice really is indescribable. Definitely a ballad I really cherish!
