minwoo could've been the male lee hyori
he's such a good solosit, stage presence, is free on lively on stage, can dance well and sing. basically if you don't know him imagine a bruno mars height boy with tan skin face card dance moves and vocals with presence and you got lee minwoo definetly in my list of soloist. great performer i will figure out what went wrong but it was definetly just sm fuckin up shit for the 78th time. how you less than a 50 years of a company with more mishaps than the earth goes around the sun? same thing with bada that lady was some crazy vocals and can carry it on stage and dance. dana too sm failed marketing her as being someone shes not (boa) using comparison is one of the weakest and most flawed way to market someone is creates expectation and quick addressing of weak points
"Music" by Bada shouldn't have flopped the way it did esp because she brought LIVE.VOCALS.EVERY.TIME. Comparison (and SM in the 2000s) is the killer of joy
As a long time Minu SHJC ... Minwoo's solo career peaked from 2003 - 2012 ish. His first few albums (Un-Touch-Able, IInd Winds, Explore M, M Rizing, etc...), esp IInd Winds were very popular at the time, by the time of the release of Un-Touch-Able, SHINHWA were no longer in SM and were under Good! Entertainment. Nothing really went wrong, he had his peak in the early to late 2000s and is now a man in his forties settling down... Even his release 'M+Ten' in 2014 was a hit with Kiss It Away and Taxi... He had a lot of promotion, marketing, and fan meetings during that time (2003 - 2008) while also still promoting in SHINHWA. Not to mention the amount of concerts he had along with merchandise. He had the stage presence, sex appeal, smooth vocals and amazing dance skills. As a group, SM almost did jack up SHINHWA before they left after their last album under the company, their 6th (Wedding). His solo career of then now remains a reasonable legacy that is still celebrated today. Recently, his solo debut anniversary passed.
