my goal rn is to get this zoerumi one-shot out (it really grabbed me by the pussy ok) and then keep chugging away on ch. 11 of pierced (which is at about 1.2k rn) my goal is to get it out before Pierced hits 20k... unlikely, but a fun motivator. being at almost 20k is fucking insane, btw. thank you for that. <3

General update (at almost 11pm as is my Wont)... Just crossed 5k words on the Pierced finale. It's still got a long way to go, but I'm committed. Work has effectively doubled in the last couple weeks - thus the radio silence - but I still want to give the girls and ending we can all be happy with, AND put time in on the other WIPs I have sitting on the backburner (most notably noire!Celine). When will I get the time? How will I fight the burnout? Lord knows. But I'll do it. Appreciate the patience.

I'm baaaaaack... Still have some work things to sort through, but this week is the return of Pierced with a BIG Chapter 8 coming your way within (hopefully!) the next couple days. Once I get that chapter out I might take a break from it for the week (you'll have PLENTY to tide you over there, promise) to see if I can finish Two Weeks. From there, it'll be full steam ahead to finish Pierced - though I do have a couple other ideas cooking way in the back of my brain. You'll just have to wait and see how much of that makes it out over the next few weeks ^_^

When I first started writing Pierced - when I got back into writing, period - my goal was to publish something as long as The Hobbit. 95,356 words. I don't know why that was the goal. It seemed funny, but possible, and challenging enough to feel good when I did it. Now I've done it - and it does feel pretty fuckin good. I was just shy of the mark with Pierced 14, so I figured I'd blow it out of the water with a nice long chapter. Now Pierced is longer than Sherlock Holmes, Wuthering Heights, Divergent, and Ender's Game, among many others.

I know it ultimately doesn't matter much - some of the greatest pieces of fiction many of us have ever read are well under 30k, much less 100k. But I started writing again to give myself something away from my work (which is also very writing focused, but in a boring, soulless way, that makes me want to light my desk on fire.) Pierced was that outlet, and now it's expanded into everything else on my page, and even more you guys haven't seen yet. It's just fun. So I'm gonna let myself toot the horn a little bit, and then get back to work. Two chapters left. Enjoy the ride.
