Love Thyself Brownies
Dark Chocolate Brownies (This isn’t in metric...I’m sorry to my European witches!):
-1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
-3/4 cups cocoa powder (I use a high cocoa percent powder, that’s what makes it dark chocolate, but you can use what you’re comfortable with)
-3/4 cup flour
-3 eggs
-3/4 cups melted butter (just under two sticks if you buy them that way)
Optional: -chocolate chips, nuts, peanut butter, etc.
Step 1: Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 2: Mix all base ingredients until just incorporated. Do NOT overmix. Focus on the batter being hugged by you (through the spoon/whisk) and loved as your mix it.
Step 3: Gently stir in optional ingredient like chips, nuts (if peanut butter you spoon it onto the batter after pouring into pan)
Step 4: Pour into small casserole pan or brownie pan (line with parchment paper for an easy removal, or spray/grease really well. Add self-love and care sigils to the bottom of the parchment paper (reverse side to what you’re cooking on) or with your finger/a brush in the grease/oil spray.
Step 5: Bake for about 25 min (check on it regularly after 20 min, each bake is different and finicky)
Enjoy!

Sweeten Your Day spell. >> a witchy take on a mundane recipe
Ingredients:
Orange/mandarin/tangerine slices (Magical assoc: love, joy, and inspiration, the sun.)
Chocolate (Magical assoc: Dark - romance and intimacy. Milk - nurturing and friendship.)
Optional coarse/sea salt (Magical assoc: cleansing, purification, protection.)
These three together banish any prior negativity (whether yesterday was bad, or your sleep was troubled), infuse you with inspiration and energy for the day, bring you closer to people, and are simply hella tasty!
Recipe:
Gather your ingredients, a fondue pot (alt: tempered glass bowl, and saucepan filled with water), a tray with baking paper (A4 paper soaked in cooking oil is an acceptable sub), and something to stir with.
Peel your fruit and separate the slices. Remove rind in your preferred method.
Put the fondue pot on to warm up per instructions, or place the bowl on the saucepan. Bring water to a boil.
Chop up/break up/separate your chocolate.
Turn heat down to leave water to simmer, and place about 1/3 of the chocolate in the bowl.
While melting, stir anti-clockwise to banish negativity.
Stir clockwise to promote positivity.
Repeat the incantation (aloud or in your mind) “Today shall be sweet, and so shall I.” until you’re satisfied - or start feeling silly.
When first 1/3 is melted. Add next 1/3. Melt. Next 1/3. Melt.
Pick up an orange slice, and dip into the chocolate as far as desired. Repeat the incantation if necessary.
Continue until all slices are covered.
Sprinkle slices with salt, with the following, “Goodbye, bad thoughts. So long, bad dreams.”
Let all cool and harden; either in the fridge or on the side, whichever you prefer.
DONE!
When you are finished, put them in an air-tight container stored in the fridge to keep until you want them. Do not keep them for longer than a week. Best eaten in the morning, to keep you and your day as sweet as can be.
Inktober day13!!^^
