A delightful twist to the classic chocolate cake, this BBQ Chocolate Cake is infused with smoky flavors from the grill and topped with a hint of savory BBQ sauce.
Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 2 cups granulated sugar. 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder. 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder. 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda. 1 teaspoon salt. 2 large eggs. 1 cup whole milk. 1/2 cup vegetable oil. 2 teaspoons vanilla extract. 1 cup boiling water. Your favorite BBQ sauce for glazing.
Instructions: Get your grill ready by setting it to 350F 175C. Mix the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together in a large bowl. After you mix the dry ingredients, add the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract. Mix everything together well. Slowly pour boiling water into the batter while mixing it all the time. It's okay that the batter isn't very thick. Grease a cake pan that can go on the grill, then pour the batter into it. Close the lid and put the cake pan on the hot grill. In a toothpick, put something in the middle and pull it out clean after 30 to 35 minutes. For a different taste, brush your favorite BBQ sauce on top of the cake during the last 10 minutes of cooking. Take the cake off the grill and let it cool down before you serve it.
