These delicious chocolate butterscotch haystacks are sure to please. Rich chocolate and butterscotch flavors mingle with the satisfying crunch of peanuts and chow mein noodles to create a delightfully crunchy and sweet treat.
Ingredients: 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips. 1 cup butterscotch chips. 2 cups chow mein noodles. 1/2 cup dry roasted peanuts. 1/2 cup shredded coconut optional.
Instructions: In a bowl safe for the microwave, melt the butterscotch and semisweet chocolate chips together, stirring every 30 seconds to ensure smoothness. The shredded coconut if using, dry-roasted peanuts, and chow mein noodles should all be combined in a big mixing bowl. Once the chocolate has melted, pour it over the dry ingredients and gently fold everything in until it coats everything. To make haystack-shaped clusters, drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto silicone baking mats or wax paper. The haystacks can be put in the refrigerator to set more quickly, or you can let them cool and harden for about an hour. The chocolate butterscotch haystacks should be kept in an airtight container once they have set. Have fun!
