Indulge in the rich flavors of black forest cake with this delightful Black Forest Fudge. It's a perfect blend of chocolate, cherries, and nuts in a creamy fudge form. Great for sharing or as a sweet treat for yourself.
Ingredients: 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips. 1 can 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk. 1/4 cup unsalted butter. 1/2 cup maraschino cherries, chopped. 1/2 cup chopped walnuts. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1/4 teaspoon almond extract. 1/4 cup cocoa powder for dusting.
Instructions: Put parchment paper around the edges of an 8x8-inch square baking pan, leaving extra on two opposite sides to make it easy to take off. Put the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter in a medium-sized saucepan and heat them over low heat. Mix the ingredients together until they are smooth. Take the pan off the heat and add the chopped walnuts, chopped cherries, vanilla extract, and almond extract. Put the fudge mixture into the baking pan that has been prepared. Use a spatula to spread it out evenly. Set the fudge in the fridge for at least two hours, or until it is firm. Use the extra pieces of parchment paper to lift the fudge out of the pan once it's set. Put it on a board for cutting. Cut the fudge into small squares or rectangles with a sharp knife. Sprinkle cocoa powder on top of the fudge to make it look nicer and give it more flavor. Enjoy your Black Forest Fudge that you made yourself!
