I would say a journal type since it would be something new and contrast against your velours story. Both are different stories and it would be interesting if they were told in different ways :) hope this helps!

It took a while for content creation to really get underway, but it’s prolific now. 

You can try tracking the ts4cc, s4cc, and ts4mm tags (there’s a lot of overlap between them). But you’ll find yourself swamped! 

There are some cc blogs, for example My Sims 4 Blog. I keep a spreadsheet of all the cc I use in my game, you’re welcome to look through that if you want. You can search by keyword by pressing ctrl+f. I don’t use alpha hairs (same as those available for TS3, or Skyrim), so I don’t know who the best creators for those would be. I do often see missparaply retexturing some, so it might be worth a stop there. Otherwise, I use clay hairs by whoever makes them! They’re all listed in my spreadsheet.

My spreadsheet row length is now 1344. Not bad for a game with a lack of content ;) Granted, that’s all player-made, but that’s what always made The Sims great, right? EA’s releasing things slowly but surely, plus they’ve exceeded some people’s expectations by providing a decent amount for free (stuff that arguably many would have liked to have seen at release, but many were worried would come with a price tag). 

Spend some time going through the various tags, seeing what other people are up to, and see if there’s anything that catches your eye. Not all games are for all people, of course, so there’s no shame in simply not gelling with it. But now there’s more content out there, you might find it more interesting :)
